Hello, Suntech. There is a problem with the solar related categories that you have created. For example, there are inappropriate articles in Category:Solar power by country, including solar car, solar cell, solar collector, solar combisystem, solar cooker and solar panel. While they may be important parts of solar power in many countries, there is nothing about them that ties them to a specific countries, which is what a category like "solar power by country" is for (we have many "by country" categories).

Please do not add any more articles to categories or create any more categories until you have thoroughly checked out the Wikipedia system of categorization. You can start at Wikipedia:Categorization. However, I think that you should explore existing categories as well so that you can get a better feel of how things are done. However, you should be aware that some articles are improperly categorized, and a few categories have been created and/or populated by someone who does not know the rules. Please do not be discouraged. I have made many errors in my time here. Thanks, Kjkolb 11:15, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

There is something that I forgot to mention. Generally, articles should not be in a category and one of its subcategories. For example, Category:Solar energy is a subcategory of Category:Renewable energy, so an article about solar energy, like solar car, should be in the solar energy category, not the renewable energy category. If the article was in both, it defeats the purpose of subcategorization. If we did not have subcategories, then it would be appropriate to put the article in both. -- Kjkolb 11:30, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
