File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Anabela Basalo.jpg

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Anabela Basalo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 14:02, 8 April 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 14:02, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Good idea to have a look what other people do, bad idea to copy&paste if the information is untrue. Your example was CREATED by the uploader as a photo, this video was NOT created by you. So your claim "picture I took" is untrue. --Martin H. (talk) 16:01, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Please stop changing the formatting of the tables on that article; especially without any explanation as to why you're doing so. If there's some problem with it, please raise it at the associated talk page. Thanks. --Ħ MIESIANIACAL 20:28, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Non-free images in lists, again

As I explained above, our policies do not permit the use of non-free images on list articles such as List of Prime Ministers of Greece. Again, I need to ask you to please stop adding such images to these articles. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. (ESkog)(Talk) 13:20, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure what your confusion is, but you need to stop adding copyrighted images to these lists. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. (ESkog)(Talk) 15:39, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Monarchs

I reverted you. This format was accepted on talk page as the best one. If you have some propositions, please, talk about them on talk page. --Tadijaspeaks 15:45, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Pjetër Poga or Petro Poga

Sundostund, hi there. Your move from Petro Poga to Pjetër Poga is a little controversial. While there are many southern Albanians that are named Pjetër, the majority of their names is Petro. Petro Poga was no exception and there are many of sources for that. Do you have any sources that his name was Pjetër? If you don't, I would kindly invite you to undo the move. Thanks for your contributions and happy editing! --Sulmues Let's talk 17:37, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Moved back to Petro Poga, as per sources. Please do not move any more this person without stating any sources. Thank you! --Sulmues Let's talk 21:18, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Politics of Slovakia

Why do you repeatedly change {{Politics of Slovakia}} to the old format without explanation? All countries' templates are migrating to the new style ({{Politics of the United Kingdom}}, {{Politics of France}}, {{Politics of Poland}}, {{Politics of Spain}}, {{Politics of Belgium}}, {{Politics of Luxembourg}}, etc, etc). It allows for considerably more articles to be linked to without making the template more intrusive into the article than it has to be. Bastin 16:44, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Politics of Suriname

Why did you revert the template?

I am assigned by the chair of our National Assembly to apply standards to Wikipedia pages concerning Suriname. I can not have you reverting the work I've spend hours preparing! Stretsh (talk) 18:24, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

How do you know I have not been assigned to apply standards? You have a way to see in my mailbox? Please stop reverting! Stretsh (talk) 20:12, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

I have my mails. What is it to you to keep meddling in Suriname related articles and such? I say I'm taking care of Suriname, just leave it be! Stretsh (talk) 20:28, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Don't worry. I'll take this higher up...Stretsh (talk) 20:38, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

List of Prime ministers of Bulgaria

Could you provide an explanation for your removal the numbering and the photos from this article? Kostja (talk) 15:07, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for restoring the numbering. I agree that the pictures need to be smaller and any case there should be pictures for all prime ministers not just the first ones, so until pictures have been found for all of them there indeed shouldn't be any pictures in the article. Kostja (talk) 19:46, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Non-free files in your user space

Hey there Sundostund, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Sundostund/Sandbox. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:00, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

List of Presidents of Czechoslovakia

Dear Sundostund, recently I noticed you firmly insisted on listing "acting presidents" on the above mentioned page. I'm writing to discuss this stuff with you in order to avoid an edit war. There's never been any legal reference to an "acting" president in the series of the Czechoslovak Constitutions, hence I don't follow your stance. Please, can you explain it to me? < Black&White > 19:56, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

I'm Retired???

Can you please explain to me why you add a "Retired" badge to my Userpage? Be careful to explain, because I promised you earlier I will take your attempt to an edit war higher up, and they will be reading this too! Stretsh (talk) 14:44, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

Re: Template:Emperors of Ethiopia

Is there a reason you moved this from "Temmplate: SolomonicDynasty"? Not all monarchs or Emperors of Ethiopia were part of the Solomonic dynasty. -- llywrch (talk) 17:58, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

First, apologies if I came across as too brusque: I was surprised to see the template moved without any discussion. As the default caretaker of WikiProject Ethiopia, I look for that sort of thing because there have been too many drive-by edits which are motivated by rivalries in Ethiopia or the Horn of Africa which only degrade the quality of the content. (I learn of some of these rivalries years after they've made their appearance on Wikipedia.) Second, this template touches on an issue which hasn't been hashed out on Wikipedia: exactly how should we categorize the monarchs of Ethiopia? If we use a term like "Emperors of Ethiopia", does that mean we should include members of the Zagwe dynasty? (I hope not; this template is already much too large for my taste.) On the other hand, should we recognize certain branches of this sprawling family tree as separate dynasties (e.g., the Gondarine emperors)? If we use the term "Solomonic dynasty", does that mean we should exclude all individuals who are commonly recognized as not part of this sprawling family, such as Yostos or Tewodros II? And lastly, to repeat myself, it would be nice if this template could be reduced in size; however, being Wikipedia's Ethiopia expert -- by default, as I am fully aware -- I'd like some informed third opinions before this is done. In short, changing the name of this template threatens to summon some very partisan & passionate people, & whom I'm not at all confident Wikipedia could successfully manage. -- llywrch (talk) 19:25, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
