Hello, Suhasini666, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Draft article

edit

Hi Suhasini66 - I've "userified" your draft article - it is here now: User:Suhasini66/Parkinson's Disease Biomarkers. That article wasn't ready for mainspace and so got tag-hammered. You can develop it in userspace peacefully. I do recommend that you let folks who watch the PD article know that you are working on it, to get their take.

I have also joined the draft to a few different WikiProjects - you might want to go the Talk pages of those projects to get input/help from more experienced editors in the relevant fields here in Wikipedia.

Please be aware of the following really important guidelines:

  • WP:MEDRS - this is the guideline for sourcing content about health. Basically, recent reviews, or statements by major medical/scientific authorities. (major ones)
  • WP:MEDMOS - this is the style guide for structuring articles about health.

Please also be sure you draw really clear distinctions in your writing between biomarkers that are actually used, clinically, in diagnostics; ones that are being used in clinical trials to segment/select subjects, and which are research projects.

if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. Jytdog (talk) 23:44, 11 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
