George Moore name change on Trivium page

i am just updating my legal name. i am trans and this is a dead name someone keeps reverting. i have the legal documents to prove the name is legitimate. Galamity33 (talk) 20:45, 11 February 2024 (UTC)

@Galamity33: It keeps being reverted because you're providing no citations to any sources which confirm what you are saying. While I'm confident you're making these changes in good faith, if we were to accept everything that people said Wikipedia would become a collection of lies and misinformation because some people will take advantage. That's why verifiability is one of our core policies, and why we expect information about living people to have a citation to a reliable source that's independent of a subject (a newspaper article is usually a good example).
You should also be aware of conficts of interest when editing articles to which you are closely related - generally we prefer it if people don't edit information about themselves. stwalkerster (talk) 21:45, 11 February 2024 (UTC)

@Galamity33: That source looks like it is user-generated content which doesn't meet the standards we need as a reliable source so it's not really something that's usable unfortunately. That specific website has actually been discussed by the community twice, and the consensus is that it's generally unreliable. stwalkerster (talk) 22:28, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
