Thomas D. Brock edit

This article has been nominated for deletion (or has already been deleted). Don't be discouraged! Many of us have had articles deleted, especially early in our wikicareers. Deletion is not a reflection on your editing but simply the application of our standard rules, particularly WP:NOTABILITY (and WP:BIO for persons, WP:WEB for websites, WP:CORP for companies, WP:MUSIC for bands, and so forth.) Looking forward to your future contributions, Herostratus 12:56, 6 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

In particular see WP:PROF. Herostratus 12:56, 6 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

This article should never have been deleted in the first place. I'm working on having it restored. Viriditas (talk) 13:54, 12 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Why did you delete the lead section? Viriditas (talk) 23:29, 3 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Bur-oak-savanna-fall.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Bur-oak-savanna-fall.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 22:15, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

New discussions edit

Please see:

We need to make the sources explicit for the awards and we need further secondary source coverage on the conservancy. I think it's fine in its separate section for the moment, but I'm not sure if it should be in the lead paragraph. Per WP:LEAD we want to summarize the most important points. Brock is not primarily known for his work with the conservancy, but I would not object to mentioning it in the lead paragraph provided you can demonstrate some media coverage in independent sources. Viriditas (talk) 05:37, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia community is strict when it comes to adding unsourced content, especially awards, about living people. See also WP:BLP. The awards are on the talk page awaiting sources. I can help you do some research, but you will need to put some effort into it. Adding them back in without verification is not recommended. Viriditas (talk) 20:37, 4 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
