Speedy deletion of Dan Hubbert edit

A tag has been placed on Dan Hubbert requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Notability of Surf Break Entertainment edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Surf Break Entertainment, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Surf Break Entertainment seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Surf Break Entertainment, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. There is nothing to stop you recreating at any time, if you are working off-line, you should have the text, if not let me know and I'll sandbox it for you. The basic problem is that there are no independent verifiable sources in your article to support what you are saying or show that the company meets the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. Your keenness to get this article on Wikipedia suggests that you may have a personal interest and possibly might not be best placed to write a neutral encyclopaedic article. jimfbleak (talk) 07:01, 16 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
I have to echo what jimfbleak stated above. Please see the talk pages for the Dan Hubbert and Surf Break Entertainment articles for my comments and suggestions for improvement to avoid deletion. -- Gmatsuda (talk) 22:21, 16 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

re: moving pages edit

Please note that copy & pasting a page to a different page name is not the proper way to move pages. When you copy & paste content, you are effectively removing the page history. Your copy & paste of Dan Hubbert and Daniel Hubbert has been undone. Please read WP:MOVE to learn how a page is properly moved prior to attempting to rename a page. Thank you. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:MeNMaGirls Main Photo.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:MeNMaGirls Main Photo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 01:03, 8 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
