Your Tchaikovsky article is ready for FAC edit

Feel free to submit it any time. Jonyungk 23:54, 8 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Are you sure? It got hardly less than lambasted at peer review. —  $PЯINGεrαgђ  01:49, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
(Please forgive me in advance regarding my tone and attitude on the peer review thing.)
Well, let's see. Maybe you haven't read the article as it stands now. The peer review was basically a pile of crap in which the article (and I as author, by extension) was (1) homophobic, (2) gay-bashing, (3) flowery, (4) unencyclopedic, (5) not written in Wikipedia style and (6) stitched together from a number of sources, albeit referenced, hence unoriginal. (At least we can skip suggestios of plagarism, right?)
Then again, I was told I was taking things a little too personally. Remember, WP:FAITH (-:
Also, they were looking at a whole different article than what is currently there.
My suggestion:
(1) Read the current article.
(2) Put it through another peer review, saying the article has been thoroughly overhauled in light of suggestions made in the first peer review. This time it should pass.
Jonyungk 02:46, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
No, don't send it to FAC. But at least see what's there now. Andy Wang and I have been working our behinds off getting this thing up to speed and, to me, the work shows. Jonyungk 02:57, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
They remind me of this lambaster. And I can stand them about as well. OK, I will read it, only not tonight as I don't have time. I do need to ask you one thing though: since I archive a little more often than you do, can you link Tchaikovsky in the message someplace whenever you message me about it? Thank you. :) —  $PЯINGεrαgђ  03:07, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Okay. Tchaikovsky. Thanks! (-: Jonyungk 13:38, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Classical composer templates edit

On thinking about this subject, I think we should consider not having different colours. Quickly browsing everywhere else on Wikipedia, all navboxes or infoboxes seem to have uniforms styles and colours and it seems a little silly having all these colours for all these composers. Do you think we should just revert to the single previous colour (Tan). Centyreplycontribs – 22:24, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't think so; reverting would only be about ½ of it. Several of the boxes already had custom colours. —  $PЯINGεrαgђ  23:13, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm not just talking about reverting your edits, but changing all the boxes in the category. Centyreplycontribs – 09:48, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I don’t really know if I know what you are talking about; I would take this to WikiProject Classical Music and ask everybody what their opinion is. —  $PЯINGεrαgђ  19:53, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rebirth under a new number edit

Hi, Springeragh ! I just wanted to tell you that apparently the author of the latest POV edits on Sviatoslav Richter (a certain 88.218.172.3) is the same 88.218.173.235 who has already received a last warning message sent by you for insisting on his hyperbolic comments on the pianist. Not only the similarity in the identifying numbers, but also the poor English, the abuse of block letters, the aggressive and disrespectful manner and the overall language (including the same spelling mistake on my Wikipedia name; check out his last "comment" on the Richter talk page) seem to indicate it's the same person, now disguised under a different number. I think it is about time this user be effectively blocked. MUSIKVEREIN 13:41, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

maybe someone could split such a section off of the oboe page, much in the way it was done for the other instruments. Would make for more consistency. brian stormen 01:18, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Multilingual edit

I appreciate Springeragh and I'm indifferent the editings. The word "Ich möchte ein Bier trinken" means as follows,

In Japan at the entrance in junior high school , the English learner starts. And at the entrance in university , the second or third foreign language learner starts.
Most of the university students choose German language or French . Though the university education is advanced , the second foreign language learner contains basic training.
I've experienced the German lamguage education while my schooldays. The beginning of German language education was usually like the sentences , "Ich lerne Deutsch.Du lernst Deutsch.Ich möchte ein Bier trinken.Können Sie sprechen Deutsch?"
Of course , I seldom drink beers.----The DQN,macbeth 08:07, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Template:Refimprove edit

Hi Springeragh. You added a center-tag to Template:Refimprove, with the explanation that It's screwing up every page I see it on... The template calls {{ambox}}, so maybe it is that template that needs fixing. I don't see any problems in firefox though, so what is the problem and in what browser, and do You see it in other ambox-templates as well? —Leo Laursen ( T | C ) 08:11, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I do use Firefox, but yes it probably is the ambox that is the problem. I will look up other similar templates and try to tweak it. —  $PЯINGεrαgђ  15:35, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:YahooMailInternetExplorer.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:YahooMailInternetExplorer.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:21, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
