American Dad! editing dispute edit

I have turned the discussion at Talk:American Dad!#Season 11 & season 12 dispute over to the Dispute Resolution NoticeBoard as User:Wattlebird doesn't seem to think consensus and opposition against him is satisfactory, resulting in his continued reversions and edit warring. Dispute Resolution Noticeboard rules indicate that I'm to inform all editors involved in the discussion of my submission in case they would like to provide input. If you you would like to provide your input regarding the edit under dispute, that be much appreciated. The Dispute Noticeboard Discussion is here Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard#Talk:American Dad!#Season 11 & season 12 dispute. Cheers! AmericanDad86 (talk) 00:06, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hey Spongey253, I responded to you at the article. Hope that helps! Cheers! AmericanDad86 (talk) 13:31, 22 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Apologies edit

I didn't want you to think I was trying to jump your case on American Dad. If you haven't read back threads on the talk pages, especially the Episode page, AmericanDad86 has been VERY vocal about his derision for the American Dad Wiki.[1] To tell the truth, I am very surprised he hasn't made a bigger deal out of it this time around. Perhaps he can see a major change coming and is putting up only token resistance this time. I hesitated to use the argument about other people THINKING about a short new season a long time ago over there for that very reason. Giving him something else to focus on that can't be easily slapped down such as FoxFlash seems to be distracting him. (Although he did just that to me some time ago which is why I no longer edit here on a regular basis and indeed, Wattlebird has called him on the picking and choosing of facts.) 108.226.144.192 (talk) 13:37, 23 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

It's fine, I just think A.D. should have one major episode guide, the number of seasons is now a clusterfuck.

Heh. I guess the thought was that everyone would sooner or later bow down to the mighty Wikipedia. Indeed, when TBS announced their season would start at 11, it did set the Wikia into worrying about matching the number of season that Wikipedia appeared to have sewn up. FOX threw a curve ball that could not have been seen from June of 2013 when they had three episodes left over. 108.226.144.192 (talk) 21:38, 23 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

IP, what user were you exactly when you were a regular user here?! Also, I do not have any disdain for that website. If you read your link provided to Spongey, it was the user who I spoke to who expressed the disdain. I was merely quoting him and quipping back. American Dad edit

Well, right now consensus seems to be in the direction of your desired move. That being said, it's not much of a consensus seeing as how it's only 3 to 2. However, a sufficient amount of time has elapsed so that also needs to be considered.

My problem is I don't know if enough individuals with an interest in this show are aware of this pending discussion. I would inform 10 random editors who have edited the American Dad! article of this move discussion going on at the article talk page, wait maybe 1 more week, and then consider it a done deal.

So just send a note to 10 random editors in American Dad!'s editing history and inform them of this. If after a week following that, consensus is still for moving, let's work on changing everything. AmericanDad86 (talk) 07:01, 7 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

September 2014 edit

I don't understand what you're tring to do with the American Dad seson articles, since you haven't bothered explaining your edits with any episode summaries, but I have reverted the changes as some seem vandalistic at best, such as removing valid images,[2] and changing season numbers in the infobox.[3] Your edits at List of American Dad! episodes broke the entire article, as well as removing MOS:ACCESS/MOS:DTT compliance, so it seems that you don't actually know what you are doing. You need to explain your edits and ensure that changes are backed up by reliable sources. --AussieLegend () 16:56, 22 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
