Hi. Is the Harvard citation style the "de facto" to be used from now on in all bird related articles? I started to use it last year but in articles like Enantiornithes (1) and Gangus, but after this dialogues I made a "comeback" to the old style. Did I missed something (a Wikiproyect consensus or something like that) ?

No, you did not miss any thing. I am still a little in flux on the issue and have been gravitating towards this style. I have near always preferred the footnote/reference style as I feel it makes the article look neater and more professional. I understand the point put out there by the <other user> you linked me to, but we also don't need to be different than books just because we can. This style, IMHO, makes it look neater and more so, it makes the editing task easier as you don't have these 2-3 line references embedded in the middle of the text as you edit. I made the shift to the <harvnb> template recently for a couple of reasons. First, the editor that swayed me, asked me to watch the Feature Articles for a week and see which they used. I did this and the vast vast majority used that style, not all however. Second, if you are going to use the footnote/reference style then it makes sense to be able to link over. There is no hard fast rule, and there will always be people that find their way to be the only way; however as I do my travelling through the wiki, I try to switch over what I can, with some caveats. First, remembering the rule that "your style" and I mean anybody's style is not the "correct" way and if there are issues with people, I talk about on the talk page and get a consensus to do it one way or the other. I have only had to do this once, and When I did, I was the only person who voiced an opinion, so I changed it and the editor who reverted me, agreed that there was no problem. As I was trying to say the rule that you have to watch out for is that don't change an article that is one way to another way unless 2 things, first you get a consensus or you are changing it back to match the way the first big editor had it. This particular article was at one point the footnote/referene style but someone started to change it but never did it correctly, then those three journals got added. So I fixed all that.
