Speedy deletion nomination of User:SpeakStick

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:SpeakStick, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Smartmixture

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Smartmixture, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

- CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 04:18, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. MER-C 06:24, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

We don't intent to promote any brand or product here, we just want to inform people that this brand exists with the following services or offerings. This is to make people that smartmixture is available. We don't want to sell but to tell your readers that we are also part of the web. Hope you can repost our submission. We will be also more careful in writing our content so it won't appear promotional insteaf informational Thanks

Decline reason:

Firstly, you will need to suggest another username. Secondly, what you describe here is promoting the brand. And if what you wrote wasn't meant to be an advertisement, then it's obvious that your conflict of interest is far too strong to write about this topic neutrally. Referring to yourself as "we" indicates yet another problem with this account. Huon (talk) 01:54, 13 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hello SpeakStick, I am writing to inform you that I have performed this edit on your talk page, more specifically, to your unblock template. I believe you had intended to use Template:unblock-spamun instead of Template:tlx. I understand why you had used Template:tlx instead: you clicked the edit button on your talk page, copied the plain text unblock template from User:MER-C's block template, and used that to file your unblock request. However, please be advised that the reason why User:MER-C's message had Template:tlx instead of Template:unblock-spamun was that if User:MER-C had used Template:unblock-spamun, the block notice itself would have appeared as an unblock request. In the event that you disapprove of this change made on your behalf, please feel free to undo the diff here. If there are any further questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to ping me with the ping template or reach me on my talk page. --JustBerry (talk) 01:52, 13 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
