Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that in this edit to Media portrayals of transgender people, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 20:09, 2 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

We already went through this once with: ::Talk:List_of_transgender_and_transsexual_fictional_characters#Content_Removal
I can't believe you are doing it again.
Please do not keep removing content like that (where you are saying that content is somewhere else). It's going to be flagged as likely vandalism, and very likely will be restored quickly after you delete it.
If you think it should be removed, please go to the talk page and make sure other users support you. If the WP:CONSENSUS of users support the plan, then you can go ahead and make the change.
Rather than spend time removing sourced content, I suggested you add sources to content that is unsourced in your favorite topic area following WP:RS rules. There is plenty of work to be done in that regard in many Wikipedia articles.

@Oshwah: Fyi about my comment above. --David Tornheim (talk) 11:33, 3 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@David Tornheim:@Oshwah: I did go to the talk page and commented on the relevant section before doing anything. I was actually acting on the consensus from May 2017 which was to adapt the page to be in line with Media portrayal of LGBT people. I haven't removed any "sourced" content on these pages, and have in fact added sources to this particular page. Please follow WP:GF as I have done with your reverting of my work, and I don't think there is a need for "I can't believe you are doing it again" when this situation is different and I changed my process based on your comments.
Also the links you sent me previously said that I should make bold edits and don't require the support of other users before making a change (even though in this case there is support from 2017). Even that consensus page says make the edit first. If you have any pages that specify that I should seek a consensus and then edit, please show me. SpeakForMe (talk) 20:24, 3 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
