ARBCOM Question
editI know, you asked it a while ago, but I saw your post about thinking that being on the ARBCOM would be "COOL". Anyway, I would have said this:
"First of all, you'd have to be highly experienced and trusted. This can only be achieve dthrough very hard work and devotion. Next of all, you'd have to be lucky. This is something you cannot get no matter how hard you try. For one, there are like 3 million users and only 15 on the ARBCOM which by simple mathematics means one have a ~1 in 200,000 chance of actually getting on the board. Even with a very good reputation and lots of experience your chance is still probably not going to go over 1%. You do indeed need significant luck in addition to being an extremely good Wikipedian. Not as much as it takes to win the lottery, but still..."
PS. If I was lucky enough to be able to choose between ARBCOM and The Lottery, I'd pick The Lottery hands down. :) 74.38.35.171 02:15, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
