Sure edit

If you don't mind, maybe we could discuss changes on your talk page? I'm going through a bit of a spat with another HP editor at the moment so the main pages can get a bit fractious. I just think it'll be calmer here. Serendipodous 20:46, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok, great. As you know, though, I can't edit for two more days. I noticed a few things on the HP page. Firstly, in the second paragraph of the plot summary it says ', the Dursley's who,' when it probably should say ', the Dursley's, who, '. In the same paragraph, would it maybe sound better to say 'punished him after any strange occurences'? It currently reads 'after several strange occurences'. I really wish I could edit now...--

Done. Anything else? Serendipodous 07:12, 19 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
There might be some more small things like that, I'll review it more.--

Ahh, sonething I missed previously! 'the Dursley's, who, in attempt to'. Maybe is it supposed to say 'in an attempt to'? I'll post more as I find them; thanks for fixing these for me until I can myself.

I took your advice and... edit

You recommended that I check around at the other HP articles to see if I could help them out any, so I did. I found a surprising amount of typos and incorrect punctuation...I know that you might think the 'typos' were just British spellings, but I lost a spelling bee once for spelling the British way instead of the American. Just wanted to show thanks for that little tip!--

Aiiee! No. No no no. Wikipedia is not an Americans-only site; British people, including myself, edit it frequently, as do Canadians, Aussies, Kiwis and other persistent users of British spelling. The four rules regarding British vs. American spelling are: 1) if a page is in predominantly British spelling, regularise it to British spelling. 2) If it is in predominantly American spelling, regularise it to American spelling. 3) If a page deals with a uniquely American topic, use American spelling. 4) If a page deals with a uniquely British topic, use British spelling. Harry Potter is a British topic, so British spelling is used. You've got some cleaing to do, I'm afraid. :) Serendipodous 07:01, 19 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and if you're interested in astronomy, I'm currently part of the Solar System featured topic team, and the Kuiper belt article's in a bit of a mess. Could use you over there. And if you like solar sunstorms, you might be interested in the articles on the solar wind and the heliosphere, both of which could use some dedicated attention, not to mention decent sources. No, you misunderstand me! I pointed that about the Bristish spellings because I recognized that they were British and left them as they were, and any edits I made were in British English format, or as close as I could make it!--

Rowling and no-change edits. edit

Hi Solar, welcome to Wikipedia and the Harry Potter project. I corrected a typo on your homepage - grammer -> grammar. As far as playing backup goes I'd stay well clear of it for now if I were you. This conflict has gotten way out of hand and become quite personal and nasty - even to the point of mediation & arbitration requests. AulaTPN 08:00, 19 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I later relized that I didn't want to get involved in that spat. I just thought that it was kinda obvious that Libertycookies was meeting opposition from everyone else working on the article, and was possibly in the wrong because of the. Correct me if I'm overstepping any boundraries; I don't know my way around very well yet. On my page, I dunno why I mispelled that and didn't notice it. It doesn't usually happen...when I was looking at the comparison I didn't notice it either. Oh well, thanks.--

Nope you were quite right - after all, Wiki Policy encourages us to be bold! I just didn't want you to end up as a casualty in this particularly heated dispute! As far as the apology goes - none is necessary. Again, I've learned from bitter experience that some of the users around here are less than friendly and it takes only the smallest imaginable thing for them to jump all over you. Just enjoy yourself and don't worry too much - I've got your back! AulaTPN 21:54, 19 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your signature edit

Hi. I have concerns that your signature may not conform to WP:SIG. In particular, its current form doesn't provide links to your talk or user pages. Can you please modify it to provide these links. Thanks. Exploding Boy 17:52, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Harry Potter roll-call edit

Hi there. Your username is listed on the WikiProject Harry Potter participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Your name has therefore been moved to a "potentially inactive" list. If you still consider yourself an active WikiProject Harry Potter editor, please move your name from the Potentially inactive list to the Active Contributors list. You may also wish to add {{User WP Harry Potter}} to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the Inactive Contributors section. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project you may move your name to the Known to have left section. Many thanks.

RE: Redwall edit

Hey, sorry for getting back to you so late. I'm working with another user to get a Redwall portal started, but I don't think we need any help with that. Why don't you go over to the project page and take a look at the to-do list? Happy editing! GlassCobra (talkcontribs) 14:02, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
