Hello edit

Can you please explain the rational for choosing this specific username? Also, please understand that wikipedia is not a forum, and hence, talk pages are to be used in conjunction with improving the articles the are associated with, they are not to be used as a forum for discussion, or a forum for discussion concerning said topics.— dαlus Contribs 08:39, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello edit

I'll change it. Socialism20091011 (talk) 05:49, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi Socialism20091011
I'm not convinced you necessarily need to change your username (unless it was intended to promote an event? That wouldn't be appropriate). However, there is concern that a similar username has also been used (User:Socialism2009), but I notice that that username hasn't been used since you've been using this username so I'm not too concerned.
Another concern was raised about the nature of your edits; I had a look at the edits you made to articles and they seemed fine to me, however I believe the real concern was that you appeared to be treating articles' talk pages as a general discussion forum. Talk pages should really be used to discuss how to improve their associated articles.
Incidentally, the "concerns" I mentioned were raised on the administrators' incidents board. I'm not an administrator, but promised I'd take a look at your edits and offer any help I could. Do please feel free to ask me anything or help in any way I can.
