Regarding the India–Pakistan cricket rivalry 'warring'

Well, the whole tete-e-tete surrounds the result of the league match of the 2007 T20 WC. As evinced on the history page, I had fairly simple points to make to somehow fails to make it past the thick curtains of prejudice and biased views curtaining the other editors. So, was the match officially a tie or was a win declared. Since there are no ICC official archives, we have to rely on the other sources of publicly available information.

The only 'authentic' source of the tie point of view in cricinfo which is just a private website littered with many a faux stat, this being one such case. (No prizes for guessing the nationality of the user(s) espousing this webpage). To say that wikipedia should mirror every sinew of info on cricinfo is rather frivolous.

Wisden, which supports the win point of view, on the other hand predates cricinfo by eons and is far more respected and reliable a source of information. One might well say that I am egging wisden on because it just so happens to support my point of view. Relevant link: http://www.wisdenrecords.com/Records/International_Twenty20/Overall/Results/Summary_of_Matches.html Well, what about BBC then? Relevant link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cricket/6993851.stm This apart, the bowl-out section of the official rule book of ICC T20 WORLD CUP clearly talk about awarding of a win post bowl-outs.

It is rather sad that people (the other 'warring editors'), whilst hedging their innate frail identities on the fortunes of a cricketing XI, choose to bring out their prejudiced mindset and infuse false facts into wikipedia. I'd be happy to be corrected if the match was indeed officially a tie but to be convinced that some cricinfo page says so and hence its got to be bloody right is naive and borderline stupid.
