Asian Le Mans Series drivers' standings edit

Hello, I just made this edit on 2023–24 Asian Le Mans Series. I saw you're the one who added the drivers' standings to the page so I'm obliged to let you know this for the future — hopefully once and for all. Different drivers should go in separate rows, even if they race for the same team. This helps accessibility, the table looks cleaner and it's easier to edit in case a driver leaves, joins or switches teams. Please keep it in mind for the future, it makes our job as copy-editors easier. MSport1005 (talk) 19:44, 5 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, thanks for bringing that to my attention, I wasn't aware of that before now. I've seen it displayed both ways in my history of editing here, so perhaps it would be beneficial for new and experienced editors alike to see somewhere that this is the definitive format for creating these tables. For instance, last year's Asian Le Mans article still groups the drivers in the table -- this is one such example. If you don't want to have this issue in the future, it may be pertinent to discuss this with the entirety of the project, or to commission a season template which covers this concern. If this already exists, kindly point me in the right direction. Thanks. SmackJam (talk) 20:31, 6 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
