Possible conflict of interest

Based on your username (SkullyEnterprises), I suspect that you may be affiliated with Skully Records. In the gothabilly article, you have written "However, the term gothabilly was not popularized until the release of a series of international gothabilly compilation albums released by Skully Records in the mid 1990s." If indeed you are affiliated with the record label, then statements like this may represent a conflict of interest. I recommend that you read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. While this of course does not prevent you from editing Wikipedia, it provides helpful guidelines on what is and is not appropriate when editing subjects with which you are affiliated. Also, you may want to read Wikipedia's username policy, specifically the policy on using company/group names. Gothabilly

Just a heads-up, blogs/online journals like vampirefreaks.com and random websites like hairfinder.com are not considered reliable sources for an encyclopedia. See Wikipedia:Verifiability: "Articles should be based upon reliable, third-party published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy." Neither of these sites can be considered reliable as they have no standard for fact-checking or accuracy; they are essentially personal blogs. For guidance on appropriate & inappropriate sources, see Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Thanks for your efforts to source the claims, though. Again, blogs like vampirefreaks.com, random websites like hairfinder.com, and other wikis like wikihow are not reliable sources and cannot be used to source content on Wikipedia. Please review Wikipedia's verifiability policy and guidelines on reliable sources. If you re-add these unreliable sources to the article again, they will be removed. Look, quoting essays & guidelines on your user page as a sly way of criticizing me isn't doing anything to address the very valid points I've made. I'm not removing your edits as soon as they're posted. I've made a number of corrections, improved some of the citations, and addressed the relevant issues with you here on your talk page. If you want to discuss the problems with the article & its sources, please use the article's talk page. That's the only way we're going to be able to address some of these issues. You can call me a deletionist all you want, but the bottom line is that, as you can see at the bottom of the page every time you make an edit: "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed for profit by others, do not submit it." --IllaZilla (talk) 19:48, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
