My Talk Page edit

As I have previously worked on Wikipedia articles, years ago, I understand the rules and regulations. Of course sometimes that information changes and I understand that. I would appreciate if all User Talk posts regarding any creation, modifications or additions that I have made be posted to that particular article's Talk Page. I will not read this talk page. (For instance, the note below, I will read and discuss any information on the particular article's talk page, NOT mine. Thanks in advance. My Mission
My goal as an editor on Wikipedia (and related websites) is to provide accurate information on the many topics of interest to me. I believe that Wikipedia has made it's way over the years because of editors who contribute to articles that they understand. My goal by no means is to advertise or publish articles with incorrect information. Before I include any information into an article I will have a source or citation for that information. If you have any kind of problem with an article that I have worked on, please address it in that article's talk page and discuss it with me. I will tell you my expereience of the years has led me to believe that there is a small percent of editors and moderators who actually are easy to work with. All you have to do is talk with me. I will also provide an email address or instant messager address for further discussion on any article or topic. I am here to help make Wikipedia a better place. Speedy deletion nomination of Restaurant-Events.com edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Restaurant-Events.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Cind.amuse 18:49, 23 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Restaurant-Events.com edit

I've moved this page to your userspace at User:Simplycreative/Restaurant-Events.com so you can work on establishing notability. ... discospinster talk 21:23, 23 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Understandable. I typically just like to read from the article's User Talk page but if this is where you insist on discussing the Restaurant-Events.com article with me, that is fine. I really would prefer not to see it deleted. I have no affiliations with that website. I have about 4-5 other online business' I was going to publish information about with citations and references. I believe that as a Wikipedia Editor and Contributor (and someone who donates money to the Foundation) that I am being non-bias to these articles and business'. I was very disappointed to see them deleted citing that the article was an 'advertisement' when it 100% was not. I guess I just don't see why when I make an error in grammar on other articles they stay up there and other editors help fix those errors and when I published this article, instead of helping me write the article (which by far is not my first, but I will admit that it needed some help) it was deleted. That is very frustrating, especially when I had no ill intentions. So maybe I should move on to publishing the other articles that are similar to this one since it keeps getting deleted. I just want the knowledge up there. It's all about proper grammar, valid and correct information and collaboration (not deletion) when it comes to these articles. To the best of my ability, I write these articles to the Wikipedia Regulations. Joshua Canfield (Talk PageUser Contribs) 22:33, 23 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Side-note regarding Restaurant-Events.com
One more thing. I quickly published the 'petetion' to keep that page from being deleted and requested the admins read the User Talk page and instead of replying to me or even making contact they just deleted it. I am baffled. Let's work together on these articles. Just deleting it was a slap in the face and I am sure that any other editor just trying to publish an article would feel the same way. Joshua Canfield (Talk PageUser Contribs) 22:33, 23 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Wow. No reply or response from the Wikipedia team. No help? I would like to publish this article, among a few others that are similar, but I don't want to waste my time if they will be *marked* for speedy deletion. Joshua Canfield (Talk PageUser Contribs) 22:14, 28 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Geeta Novotny Portrait.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Geeta Novotny Portrait.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:36, 19 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Andy Summers Portrait.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Andy Summers Portrait.jpg, which you've attributed to Andy Summers. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 13:32, 25 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Bareos edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bareos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bareos. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
