Hey there!

edit

Hey there, Silversink! I just noticed your efforts fighting vandalism, and I must say I was impressed for such a relatively new user. Anyway, I was just wondering if I could offer you a new tool for vandal fighting; VandalProof. Its a fairly nifty thing; one click reversion, warning, etc. If you're interested, feel free to request permission if you meet the requirements. Anyway, have fun, and I hope to see you around some more! :D _-M o P-_ 00:55, 12 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

VandalProof

edit

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof; however, I'm afraid I can't approve you just yet. Per what MoP said, you are an exceptional new user, but as VP is still in a very early stage of development, I feel a little uneasy letting new users with little understanding of WP policy and process loose on it, as they might not understand what everything does and might not be able to respond correctly in the case of a software malfunction. I still believe you would likely make an excellent user of VP, and I'd like to ask you to resubmit your request on Monday, 17 Apr 06, by which time I should have a patched version 1.0.1 up and running and by which time I bet you'll have learned quite a bit about Wikipedia. You'd be amazed what you can learn in a week. Anyway, please don't take this personally--your contributions thus far have been very beneficial, and I hope you will continue editing in the future. Thanks. AmiDaniel (Talk) 06:43, 12 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's ok... I've just realized that I still don't have 250 edits (I need just 9 more). Thanks for the compliments, and don't worry I don't take it personally and well I will still fight vandalism the old-fashioned way here in Wikipedia!. Silversink 14:52, 12 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Also, additionally, you can try out Popups, which is also a very efficient vandal-fighting tool that requires only some skill with applying the code. If you're interested, find your way to the page; it has a bit of complicated stuff, but I'm sure it'll all be very easy for you. Anyway, hope that works out for you! _-M o P-_ 04:48, 14 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hi Master of Puppets! Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try it. Silversink 15:29, 14 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
