isn't there a wp:notbureacracy page somewhere? LOL see my response no my talk page

If you can avoid modifiying articles based soley on some bureaucratic criteria ( those that could be applied by a bot or a clerk in some agencies) I think that would help. For example, objecting to the number of links in a stub is fine- if you can decide which ones should stay then add text and move them in or discard them based on content. But, if you read somewhere that "wiki doesn't allow long lists" and you decided gee this list looks long, you will only arbitraryily remove resources from the reader and make it harder for the few volunteers who know something about the material to make better article. Also, did you look at the pages of discussion that related to this move and where I announced by plan to do this and got no opposition? http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Nerdseeksblonde/Law_of_maximum_entropy_production&redirect=no Clearly some order is helpful, and there are bots for that. Go read the discussion before moving a bunch of stuff around- if the policies were that clear someone could write a bot for this. We are trying to get rid of that article and the last decision of "merge" seemed to mean it would go away. The talk page is a resource we don't want to drop. DYK check

Thanks for making DYK check; I just installed it and it seems to be really useful. I just wanted to let you know that it doesn't work on T:TDYK in Beta (vector skin). The link "DYK check" does appear, but the sidebar doesn't move and nothing seems to happen when I click the link. Also, the page appears jumbled, with the links at the top of the page (userpage c.s.) appearing at the top left of the top right, and the sidebar moved a little down. Checking for eligibility on an article page works fine, though. Ucucha 15:08, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, interesting. I'll look into it later this week. Thanks for letting me know. Shubinator (talk) 06:21, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I think I've fixed it. Could you try it out on your side? Shubinator (talk) 07:15, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes, it works now. Thanks! Ucucha 12:16, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

DYK bot huckup?

Hi Shub. If you happen to be on site. Can you take a quick look at the DYK Queus. The bot seems to be doing some erratic things right now. Seems to have promoted Q4, but left a reminent of it on the page, gave double credits, then moved Queue 5 early to the main page. Also Chicago update times seem to be out of sync with what time it would actually be there when an update takes place (not sure if that has a bearring on anything thru). Thanks in advance Calmer Waters 19:41, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Looks like SoWhy took care of it. Are the Chicago update times off? ... they look good to me. Shubinator (talk) 03:46, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Not sure if you've seen this...

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to wish those Wikipedians who have been nice enough to give me a barnstar or smile at me, supportive enough to agree with me, etc., a Happy Thanksgiving! Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 06:47, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
