There are many significant bands in the Reggae Rock genre that need added to wikipedia. The band in question Shrub is quite relevant along with many other bands that I plan to add. Please consider my notes under the speedy deletion contest. Thanks!

I reviewed and now understand the guidelines for WP:Band. The Shrub band meets that criteria per my citations. I understand that I chose the wrong username when I just signed up yesterday because I was using this band shrub as my test band to update. My apologies. I am very knowledgable on the Reggae Rock scene and have a lot of pertinent information to contribute to wikipedia. Please reconsider my block. Thank you.

Here are a few key questions:

• Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
• Do you understand conflict of interest?
• Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be notable?

Yes, I fully understand all three points/questions. I made a poor username choice. I understand that this poor choice made it appear that I was related to a company, group or product. I am new to being a contributor, and this was my first article that I created. However, I did verify that this band meets the criteria for WP:BAND and thus makes them notable. I plan on being a positive and unbiased contributor to wikipedia. I'm learning quickly, but I will not let conflict of interest affect my edits.

Since I review and supply content/material for a leading Reggae Rock specific website/radio, I do have a loose relationship with literally hundreds of bands in the reggae rock genre (including Shrub (band)). But this content is unbiased and merely factual. I'd like to think that I'm an authority in this specific genre, and I believe I can help wikipedia more accurately detail these bands. In other words, I'm learning how to be a better contributor to WP, and I'm passionate about the accuracy of the articles that I will add/edit.
