Speedy deletion nomination of Weddingz edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Weddingz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi,

Thank you for your valuable feedback but may I know how this was considered a promotion? The information provided had proper references, there was no exaggeration & everything written was based on facts. It was properly organised & because it is about a company, I had to add its journey. I was neutral too with respect to whatever I had written was supported by relevant & popular news websites like economic times, Times of India & business standard. I read several articles & guidelines as well before creating this page. I also referred to many Wiki pages to get the tone right, like https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justdial

Kindly help me so that I can re-publish it.

Thank you once again & please re-consider to re-store this page or make editions or delete information, which you think makes it promotional & re publish it. I will be really grateful to you. Kindly revert quickly & positively.

Regards, Shrishti

Weddingz moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Weddingz, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 18:19, 30 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you - Draftspace - Weddingz - I Still want more information edit

Thank you for keeping it as a draft. The said company is 4 years old. Their journey so far is less but notable. Each information that has been mentioned within the article has a proper citation/reference. It is a 400 words wiki page with 21 citation from independent & proper sources. The news sites I mentioned as citations are quite popular & not every company have their own articles there because it is not a PR but a proper news website. I will continue to tweak this page also as & when any other notable thing happens, whether it is good or bad. I wanted to add criticism section to but unfortunately couldn't find any reference for the same. I will request you to kindly re-checked the article to verify that each paragraph & each information that I have given has citation & I haven't written a story out of nowhere. I have seen many other wiki pages with little content & no citation being live for years & months. Example - Just dial & Nykaa. I would request you once again to let me re-publish this Wikipedia page. I can vouch that I have abide by Wikipedia rules & have used information which was present on third party independent sources, keeping it very neutral, haven't used any adjectives to over emphasis it & most importantly have added enough citation. In future too, I will continue to tweak information like I tweak & update other Wiki articles, which I didn't create. From what I know, a Wikipedia page is a never ending article where you continue to add & update information. If a company is 4 years old, I cannot write a false story to make it big but whatever has been written there is relevant & with proper citation. It is my humble request that let me please re-publish this article. Inform me where I have missed citation because I have used more than enough citation for a 400-450 page wiki article. I have seen pages being live for ages with just 6-7 citation.

Kindly give me proper information so that I can make those tweaks & make it live. I will again request you to please re consider & re-verify that I have given citation for each & everything that I have written & allow me to make it live. I will continue to improvise it & will request other Wiki editors too to improvise it if they feel like.

Thank you so much. Kindly revert quickly and positively. I have spent months on this. If even after re-verifying you feel that citations are missing or it seems promotional, I would request you to kindly delete those details or edit them & allow me to make it live because as far as I know I have used references for each & every information. I had references & did my research & that's why I was able to write this wiki article. Thanks once again. Help me out with this.

Example of other wiki pages with less citation & information & tone is very same to my wiki article - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nykaa https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justdial

Also, I have made some changes that you mentioned like removing increase in headcount, vendors & revenue growth within the draft. Kindly check. If you think it's fine can we make this article live? Thank you

Hi DGG,

I saw that you deleted my Draftspace coz of speedy deletion (promotional & advertising)

What ever was written within the article were facts. I actually went through wiki guidelines, referred to similar pages like JustDial & Nykaa and then only I created the page. I created a Weddingz Page which was speedy deleted. I had a chat with the deletion administrator Discospinster. She told me growth in revenue, increase in vendors make it look promotional so I removed all such data & submitted it for the review. Now even before getting result of my review submission, my page has been requested for a delete on basis of being promotional. I wrote what many companies wiki pages write like an intro, history containing funding, acquisition info & association. Then why my page was considered promotional. I also gave proper, independent citations. The citations I used are known news media outlets & not some PR tool. The tone was neutral too. How come an article on a company, which is notable, have independent citations & with proper facts like finding, acquisition & partnership be considered promotional? I really want to know what Wikipedia is looking for in a company's Wiki page? How even facts supported by citations & without exaggeration be considered promotional? I also checked other similar pages like JustDial, Nykaa & OYO, which have written have been written in same tone, with similar content material & citation be live for ages.

Kindly help & retrieve it. If you think any information is promotional then edit or delete it or at least give me chance to keep my POV. I hope you will reconsider. I have worked on this for months & have abide by the rules

Also, highlight which part seems promotional to you so I can edit that. Trust me I have abide by Wikipedia rules & I am confused on whst basis my article is getting deleted. So give me example what was promotional Thanks for your time Shrishti Jhamnani (talk) 04:51, 6 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Kindly Restore 'Draft:Weddingz' edit

  Moved from my talk
 – Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:56, 31 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi,

I would request you to kindly restore 'Draft:Weddingz', which you deleted previously.

I would like to make changes & re-submit it. Also, could you please guide me, if I write an article something like 'https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WeddingWire', which offers same services as Weddingz, will that be okay?

Thank you for your help.

Shrishti Jhamnani (talk) 09:39, 31 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi! No, I'm not prepared to restore that content, which was unduly promotional in tone. That we already have another awful article about a different company does not justify or excuse that – see WP:OTHERSTUFF.
By far the majority of your edits concern this company, so it seems pretty likely that you have some paid connection to it. Our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. If you are receiving, or expect to receive, monetary or other benefits or considerations from editing Wikipedia as a representative of an organization (as an employee or contractor; as an employee or contractor of a firm hired by that organization for public-relations purposes; as owner, officer or other stakeholder; or by having some other form of close financial relationship with a topic you wish to write about), then you must disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Shrishti Jhamnani. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Shrishti Jhamnani|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please say so, here on this page. Otherwise, please make the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you have answered this message. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:56, 31 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Justlettersandnumbers

Thank you for your help. Like I told one of the previous admin that this is my first article that's why I am more adamant to make it live. I will not be receiving any direct or indirect compensation for this article otherwise I would have declared it way before. I created this account in 2016 & this is my first article. If this was a paid account why would I have waited for 2-3 years to create an article when you are eligible to upload article just after 10 edits? I spent a lot of time to research about this topic (because I got to know about it through newspaper) & that's why I am unable to let it go & just want to make this one right. If possible, kindly restore it & let me make changes. I will try to make it more generic & neutral. I don't know which websites will be considered independent & notable resources if not prominent news websites. However, I want to do my best to improve this article & get it published. This will give me confidence to create another article & so on.

Thank you again :) Shrishti Jhamnani (talk) 07:41, 1 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:11, 1 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi Justlettersandnumbers,

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

May I know why I was blocked? I haven't uploaded Weddingz article once the article was deleted. I had discussion with admin to get my issue sorted in a very calm & civil manner. Why should I have to claim that I am here as a promoter when I am not. This is my personal ID where I don't force changes, where I have discussion if any admins says my editions are wrong. I don't feel you are being fair. Have I tried to ignore any admin's warning & re-uploaded my Weddingz article? If I had ignored your warning & had re-uploaded the article, then you blocking me would have suffice but if just requesting admin in a civil manner to restore the draft that I created for the very first time gets me blocked, then that is unfair to me. I have done contribution irrespective whether I am related to article or not. I go to community portal to check if there is anything that I can do. How can I be blocked without breaking any rule? I am not a paid promoter & you forcing me to admit it is unjust. You said don't publish the article & I didn't. I simply requested to re-store. I never knew that in Wikipedia we don't even have right to discuss. I was polite through out my conversation with all the admins. I made a simple request & had a discussion as right given to editors by Wikipedia & abide by guidelines to say my word. Once editor deleted my article, I didn't re-publish it. I asked for restoration. Made changes in the drafted version & submitted it for review. When that was deleted, I was having a simple discussion with admins. Rest is up to you guys. Shrishti Jhamnani (talk) 07:04, 4 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Based on off-wiki information that I cannot reveal here, it is difficult to believe that you are not paid for your edits. In addition, please review conflict of interest. You won't be unblocked to edit about Weddingz or anything related to a conflict of interest. If you have other subjects you want to edit, please say what they are. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:02, 4 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi 331dot,
I go to community portal at times to choose topics which need editions & others changes that I have ever done were either giving right info or right picture. When in starting I created account, I was a student who was doing part-time who made edits just for fun of it or if my friends or closed ones used to ask me. That time I had no idea how wikipedia works nor I was interested. Just because what you may or may not have found out via my off-wiki information does not proof that I am a contributor. If I had anything to hide, I would not have used my real name, my real email id or my real information to create a wikipedia ID.I could have easily created an ID with fake name or email if I was a promoter (because I know everybody is smart enough to do background check in modern era) but because I know I did nothing wrong nor I am receiving any compensation that's why I had guts to use my real name & ID. Rest, I respect your decision. However, I will stay put that I am not a contributor.I created this ID more for experience, fun & now to feel like I have achieved or done something great rather than to promote anything & I cannot take a blame for something I didn't do. I hope you guys will be fair to others at least. Anyway, thank you. Take care & have a good day ahead:)

So do you deny any information I might have found? I can say searching your name brings up certain results that cause me to doubt that you are not paid. 331dot (talk) 08:37, 4 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi [[User:331dot|331dot],

Like I said earlier, all my profiles are open book but show me one of my profiles whether linked in, facebook, twitter or Instagram where it is written that I write or edit wikipedia articles for compensation or payment. I am not ashamed of my profession nor I will deny it but besides my professional life, I have a personal life which doesn't not revolve around my professional life. So, I will again say no I am not a paid contributor nor I get any benefit out of it, whether directly or indirectly. Why would I hide that here when I knew before hand that you can reveal/declare yourself as a paid contributor in Wikipedia. This is my personal account which is 3 years old & I will not take risk with this. Whatever you may have found searching my name is right. We are living in digital a world & I am not a fool to believe that nobody will be able to find my profile or profession using my real name. But, this account is not connected to my profession in any way. And I will still stick to what I said earlier. Whatever editions I make here are more of an experiment or to learn. I either go to community portal or make edits of different companies or persons just because I want to learn & I am familiar with the topic to make the right edition. Thank you for listening me out :) Shrishti Jhamnani (talk) 08:45, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Since you invite me to show you your profile, I will say that your LinkedIn profile states that you are a SEO Account Manager. In my experience most users who are involved in SEO edit articles for their clients or even create them since Wikipedia articles are usually #1 or close to it in search results. We have no way of knowing if you are "on the clock" at work or "off the clock" at home. This is what causes me to doubt that you are not paid for your edits, either directly or as editing as part of your job duties. However, my word is not the last word on the matter; you are free to make another unblock request, that will be reviewed by someone else, to attempt to convince them to unblock you. 331dot (talk) 10:43, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
