Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.

Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

Thanks for your suggestion. If you feel a change is needed, please go ahead and make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. You don't even need to log in, although there are several reasons why you might want to. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills. New contributors are always welcome. Josh Parris 00:05, 15 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

i'm in the sin bin again

one of the million or two customer's of telstra have decided to do something 'disruptive' with an IP, which i get stuck with. seriously wikipedia, this is very frustrating to a new user like me, what't the point of banning by IP when most IP's are dynamic and shared. it's only inconveniencing innocent people, half the time when i try to add or discuss something, i find out that i can't unless i want to reconnect and try my luck with another IP, why don't you design a new banning system that works with cookies? it's a bit harder to circumvent, plus it doesn't frustrate newbies/innocents.
