Hello, Shanny2398, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Notes

edit

Hi! I have some notes:

  • The layout here is good, so well done here!
  • Make sure that you add more sourcing to the article. Much of this is primary, meaning that it was released by the artist or by affiliated people or organizations. Non-primary sources are really necessary to help back up details, especially as they can help establish notability.
  • The writing here is largely fine, but be very careful to avoid the content coming across like a reflective piece. All claims as far as interpretations of artwork goes should be attributed to the person making the claim. (IE, "According to..." or "Salazar Simpson states that...")

A lot of this will be tweaking and fine tuning, so the sourcing is the biggest thing to focus on offhand. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:07, 22 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Shanny's Peer Review

edit

Try expanding on each of the sections a little more. You have a great outline but it is missing a lot of meat. If possible try adding images of the artist work to the page. Also some other works of the artist, maybe different types of works to give the viewer a more wholistic view of the artist career and life. I also noticed that some of your facts have two citations to one simple sentence. Is that necessary? I honestly am not sure. You also do not expand on who the people are in her life. Who was her husband Thomas? What type of art did she create, abstract? concrete? Describe her exhibitions and what they meant to her if possible. One of the exhibitions is also missing a citation for reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Valdovp (talkcontribs) 01:25, 25 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for creating Sylvia Salazar Simpson.

I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Thank you for your new article on Sylvia Salazar Simpson. Note that the article is currently an "orphan", meaning that few other Wikipedia articles link TO it. This makes the article hard to find for interested readers. See WP:DE-ORPHAN for pointers.
