Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with MDIFA. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 00:34, 30 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hockey league article

edit

Hi! Doesn't look too bad, but it's still a bit promotional in tone. Also, Facebook entries aren't generally allowed as references. It hasn't been tagged for deletion, but it might be if no suitable references are added such as print or electronic media coverage. In any event, it's an interesting read and I wish you luck on expanding it. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:50, 19 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • No problem; glad I caught you online. Any editor can manually tag an article for speedy deletion. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be deleted by an administrator. There's an automated bot which tags copyright violations, but only a human user can tag for speedy deletion. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:55, 19 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Wagga Wagga Floor Hockey League (WWFHL)

edit

A tag has been placed on Wagga Wagga Floor Hockey League (WWFHL) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. かんぱい! Wikimedians to the Games

edit

I'd like to invite you to participate Wikimedians to the Games :) It is a great opportunity to help improve Australian related content, and potentially to travel to attend the second biggest sporting event of the year. As you're an existing Wikipedian editor, you should have some advantage because you should know how to contribute and improve articles already. :) If you get to a certain point threshold, there is also a possiblity to travel to Canberra to attend a workshop at the Australian Institute of Sport. --LauraHale (talk) 10:09, 16 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
