License tagging for Image:1966 GMC pickup truck.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:1966 GMC pickup truck.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

AfD nomination of Całkowite Wewnętrzne Odbicie

edit

I've nominated Całkowite Wewnętrzne Odbicie, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Całkowite Wewnętrzne Odbicie satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Całkowite Wewnętrzne Odbicie and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Całkowite Wewnętrzne Odbicie during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you.Inkpaduta 04:34, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Er, I'm sorry, sir, but you only discriminated against this article & not the others related to it, so I have to re-create it. And besides, I was unable to participate & unaware of that discussion. If you're going to delete this article, then you either delete all articles related to it or leave it alone. In addition, I did acknowledge that it was a stub & that people could help Wikipedia out by expanding it. Sgt. Bond 19:31, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Does this mean someone could get blocked for doing this? Sgt. Bond 19:23, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Dschinghis Khan Album.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Dschinghis Khan Album.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:07, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:GMC_Astro_model.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:GMC_Astro_model.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:34, 30 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 04:34, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Springer Van in the US market

edit

The reason for not introducing Opel vans or other European vans is because a) most European vans only come with manual transmissions and 4-cylinder engines (or diesel engines), making them inappropriate for the US market. To succeed in the US you MUST have at least V6 power and automatic. and b) importing these vans from Europe would be VERY expensive making them uncompetitive with the local offerings.Davez621 (talk) 03:28, 20 November 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Davez621 (talkcontribs)

File source problem with File:AK unknown.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:AK unknown.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
