Michael Demurjian edit

Thanks for your note. If, as you say, this individual was never an NFL player, you're welcome to initiate the process to have the page deleted. Since there is an assertion of notability (the article says he qualifies to have an article about him, by virtue of the fact that he played professional football) you'd have to use the articles for deletion (AfD) process. If you'd like help with that, feel free to leave me a note and I'll walk you through it, but the simple three-part process is found at WP:AfD for your convenience. At AfD, the Wikipedia community will check into your assertion that he didn't play in the NFL and dispose of the matter once and for all. If you have questions about this or any other aspect of Wikipedia policy, just leave me a note. Accounting4Taste:talk 15:29, 5 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've asked the article creator to provide proof that the player existed, but agree that an AFD might be a good idea - I find no indication that the subject of the article exists. Tony Fox (arf!) 16:06, 5 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I found some secondary evidence -- information about the board of directors of a company upon which Mr. Demurjian apparently sits -- but was unhappy to see that the Detroit Lions site returned no information about this individual's name. However, that could be a deficiency in my searching technique, since the site didn't seem geared towards providing that kind of information about long-ago teams. I'll look forward to seeing what others come up with. Accounting4Taste:talk 16:16, 5 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

This Michael Demurjian character is a fraud and scammer. He goes around Wall, NJ boasting he was a fullback for the Detroit Lions and signs autogrpahs upon request. Michael Demurjian was never an NFL player and there exists no NFL stats on him. The front office for the Detroit Lions acknowledges having reeceived inquiries on Michael Demurjian and they do not know who he is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.105.137.115 (talk) 19:01, 8 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
