M-13 in Bay City, Michigan

edit

Dear Sfbayrod:

I note that you've trod a lot of the ground I have concerning roads in various cities in Michigan. Welcome and thanks for helping.

On Bay City, Michigan I would suggest that a comment as to its uses (it's a great direct route north of the city (a blue route so to speak) for those wishing to avoid I-75 who are on their way to the Sunrise Side through Standish, Michigan. It's more direct, and it passes through a number of interesting little towns (e.g., Linwood, Pinconning) that have some local color for those who want to explore. Anywayz, just a thought.

Best of luck. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 23:13, 17 April 2008 (UTC) StanReply

Now that you've done Monroe, Michigan . . . 7&6=thirteen (talk) 23:16, 17 April 2008 (UTC) StanReply

Flint, Michigan and Port Huron, Michigan

edit

I did those, too, Plus most of the towns around the thumb, and around the shoreline. I practically wrote the Gaylord, Michigan and Grayling, Michigan articles. Not to brag TOO MUCH. But like nobody noticed, and you can expect the same yawns from most everybody. But not by me. Keep up the good work! 7&6=thirteen (talk) 00:15, 18 April 2008 (UTC) StanReply

Thanks for your edits on highways in Michigan cities. But could you please be more careful to avoid making links to ambiguous titles. The canonical form for cities/towns/villages in the U.S. is place, state. Many of your edits have removed the , state portion of the link, which in many cases links to a disambiguation page rather than the intended target. For example, [[Ludington]] links to Ludington, a disambiguation page, while [[Ludington, Michigan]] links to Ludington, Michigan. In some cases the short name does redirect to the full place name, but many times it does not. It is safer to link to the full name. In any case you should not remove the state from a link when it is present as you have done with many of your edits. Cheers. olderwiser 13:31, 19 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Newaygo County, Michigan

Your county highway signs are wrong. When you click on them they link to "Muskegon." I don't remember how to correct that, but I know I've done it properly (See Alcona County for example.) Nice job on all these podunk places, by the way. Best. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 20:45, 24 April 2008 (UTC) STanReply

Warren, Michigan, Sterling Heights, Michigan, and Roseville, Michigan

edit

Would you kindly take a look at those. Off hand, the only material thing that I may have missed in Sterling Heights is the newer round-a-bout that is Van Dyke Avenue near 18 Mile Road. You've been very busy. Good job!!!. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 13:45, 26 April 2008 (UTC) StanReply

Hurley, Wisconsin

edit

Now that you've done Ironwood, Michigan, you could do Hurley with virtually the same information. Maybe that will get the Wisconsin editors inspired. You've done a heluvalottawork, eh! 7&6=thirteen (talk) 15:44, 29 April 2008 (UTC) StanReply

FWIW, see what I did here. I did something similar in Grayling, Michigan and Harrisville, Michigan, for example, unless somebody eradicated them. I think that the link to the picture is very effective. Best to you. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 22:30, 29 April 2008 (UTC) StanReply

Your user page

edit

Thanks for all of your wonderful editing on the Michigan articles. Haven't seen you around much. Hope things are going well. I would suggest that you consider putting something on your user page. This will 'get the red out' in the edit histories, and make it clear you ain't no 'newbie.' Best regards. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 19:07, 5 September 2008 (UTC) StanReply

Missed you. Welcome back. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 20:38, 18 August 2009 (UTC) StanReply
