Speedy deletion nomination of Carol kipling edit

A tag has been placed on Carol kipling, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Carol Kipling edit

A tag has been placed on Carol Kipling requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Carol Kipling, to Wikipedia as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. I have seen your post at Talk:Carol Kipling. Being "very well connected with other notable" people does not confer notability. It is necessary for evidence that she is notable, not that people connected with her are notable. I suggest looking at the general notability guideline and the notability guideline for people to see what is required. If you have any questions about details of the guidelines please feel welcome to contact me on my talk page. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:19, 16 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Got it, so I included links of interviews, articles, etc. Does this work? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scm039 (talkcontribs) 21:22, 16 June 2010

I have had a quick look at your references. At a quick glance some of them look as though they are probably good enough, but I don't at the moment have time to check fully. I have removed the speedy deletion tag, but I should warn you that I think that the article may well be deleted because it looks promotional. Try to rewrite it in a more objective way. If you want more help contact me on my talk page, but it will be at least ten hours or so before I shall have time to respond. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:41, 16 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on AshtonRoad.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Malcolma (talk) 08:58, 25 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Jay Kordich speedy deletion edit

Proposed deletion of Jay Kordich edit

The article Jay Kordich has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable; known only for selling juicers and a couple of books; mentions in independent sources are not significant.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

It also reads as a promotional page. I gather that this isn't the only time this has happened to pages you've created. If you'd like the page to stay, I suggest you add more independent secondary sources for his notability as per WP:BIO.
