Re: ABBA page External links
editYou're welcome to ask others their opinion; probably the best place would be the administrators' noticeboard. I remain of the belief that the sole purpose of the site is to promote this person and his guide. Thanks for writing. :) RadioKirk (u|t|c)

Ace of Base
editHi Scholar91!
Thanks for your note on the talk page for Ace of Base. I had originally posted a response there, but I figured I'd go ahead and leave a note here as well, since you might not otherwise see it. The discrepancy comes from the RIAA site itself. They listed The Sign at 10x platinum and The Bridge at 2X platinum for around two years, which is why I added links to their site. A few months ago, they changed the data back to 9X and 1x respectively, without notice why. I've sent e-mails asking why, but there was never any response. However, the band's official site also confirms the 10X (diamond) number, which was, as I recall, announced by Mega Records executive Claes Cornelius in 2002. I'm updating the link for TS to again provide a reputable link. Happy editing! :) Firsfron of Ronchester 05:30, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your friendly note, Scholar. I haven't asked anyone on Billboard.com, simply because I thought they only had charting info, and not info on sales. I could be wrong, though. Like you, I am also surprised Arista Records applied for the diamond certification, as my understanding is that it costs the record company $300.00 for the application. When I discovered the RIAA site had changed the totals back to 9X and 1X, I asked around, but didn't get much response. One person jokingly suggested that Arista must have stopped payment on the check, and in retaliation, the RIAA took back the awards. Such explanations are admittedly silly, but do mirror the cheap way Arista seemed to deal with the band during the band's final years under contract with Arista Records.
- If you find any new info, please feel free to edit it into Wikipedia. Best wishes, Firsfron of Ronchester 09:48, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Please don't abandon ABBA article
editHello Scholar91,
I understand that people have been adding weasel words and other biased comments in the article lately, but please don't abandon it. Your help has been very important to it.
I agree with you that people have been adding all kinds of information that shouldn't be in such article, but we can just revert their edditions.
Waiting for your answer, Detlef. Detlef 16:28, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- That guy is ridiculous. Seriously. I can't stop him alone, if you're leaving I might as well. Shouldn't we report him or something?
Request for a 3rd opinion
editHi! Since you are (or have been) one of the main contributors/maintainers of the Abba article, I'd like to request your opinion on a dispute about the proper handling of sales figures in the article's lead.
The dispute is at Talk:ABBA#Sales and your input would be very much appreciated. --Kmhkmh (talk) 15:53, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
