Problem with your username edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (IREBWikiAdmin) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it contains the string "Admin", which suggests you have administrator rights on your account, but you do not. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account to use for editing. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 06:02, 26 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

August 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Professional certification (computer technology) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 06:03, 26 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, IREBWikiAdmin, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. —C.Fred (talk) 06:36, 26 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Decline reason:

The chosen username still clearly refers to the organization you represent, as per the username policy. Please note that spamming Wikipedia on behalf of that company is inappropriate, no matter what username you end up with. The first comment said that the username is the only reason why the account was blocked. I've choosen the usernames in order to remember myself that it is for the wikipedia. In addition I try to get the username in order to modify the IREB-Page in a way that it sticks to the rules. We want to have the IREB as a normal entry as the other schemes like IIBA and others. No advertisment is planned.

IREBWikiAdmin → Schluri65 edit

Two important things to bear in mind:
  1. Even after you change your username, you will still have a conflict of interest with the IREB and will need to edit cautiously.
  2. Your account has been unblocked for the purpose of requesting a change of username. You must go to WP:CHU as soon as possible to request the change.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. —C.Fred (talk) 01:14, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:IREB Logo 175x75.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:IREB Logo 175x75.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 03:05, 10 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
