Image copyright problem with Image:Antique row Philadelphia.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Antique row Philadelphia.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 19:45, 14 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! edit

Thank you for contributing to my artile, The Dragon on the Bookshelf. I hope you found it informational.

~~Gp75motorsports~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gp75motorsports (talkcontribs) 00:16, 21 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

No problem. And thank you for creating the page. If you ever need help with some of the more tedious bits and pieces of a page (category sorting, referencing, templates, etc.) don't hesitate to ask. How did you come across this story? Do you read a lot by Harlan Ellison and Robert Silverberg? I've been trying to add to and improve some of the articles on Harlan Ellison's short stories and collections and would love some help and suggestions. Cheers! Sbacle 01:42, 21 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Dragon on the Bookshelf edit

is the only Ellison story I've read so far. But I think was really good, so it's more than likely I'll read more from him. Whatever I can learn about him I'll tell you. ~~Gp75motorsports~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gp75motorsports (talkcontribs) 06:32, 21 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh yeah edit

I forgot. One of my other articles, SPCMDCON.SYS, is an AfD and I need some "keep" votes for it. Thanks! :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gp75motorsports (talkcontribs) 07:22, 21 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, it looks like I got there too late. The AfD was already closed. I don't look at my user page that often so I didn't see your comment until today. Next time put the comment on my talk page and Wikipedia will alert me that I have a message. Again, sorry about that. Sbacle 14:45, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

SPCMDCON.SYS edit

The article was about a computer program, but they deleted it (obviously) but I saved it so I should have it back up soon. --Gp75motorsports 18:17, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Village edit

I guess my source for that was the movie itself -- is that acceptable? The only outside source I was able to find is this: http://ask.metafilter.com/9147/

I don't think it counts as a "reliable source," but I'll try to find someone else who mentioned it. Graymornings 00:37, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

A review of the film by Roger Ebert mentioning this would certainly be a reliable source. The site you linked to says the original review is at salon.com and you have to register to read it. I can't do that right now since I'm at work (don't tell my boss!) I'll look around online a bit to see if I can find the original review somewhere else. Thanks for the help. Sbacle 16:24, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I found the article, but it wasn't specifically about The Village. The article, however, does point out that the problem may lie with the projectionist, so maybe the boom mike comment doesn't belong in the article. Graymornings 19:46, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

New link! edit

Here's a site with a lot on Ellison: [1] Try it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gp75motorsports (talkcontribs) 14:15, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the link. I appears to have a lot of great stuff! Sbacle 18:03, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey guess what? edit

I'm running for adminship! I'll probably need a "Support" vote or three thousand, but still! --Gp75motorsports 14:30, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

They seem to have closed it already. I wouldn't worry about it too much though, from the comments the voters left it sounds like they just think you need more experience. Try again in 6 months or so and I'm sure it will go much better. Don't be discouraged by this, you've been doing some great work! At least two of the pages you made recently, The Dragon on the Bookshelf and Briggs & Stratton Raptor, both look great. You've also been adding some useful comments to the AfD discussions. Some tips with the deletion pages: It's usually a good idea to refer to policy in your comments (which you've been doing recently). Good policy citations can be found at WP:AADD, WP:DEL#REASON, and WP:NOT. Also, it's a good idea to try to keep your cool. Deletion debates can be frustrating (which is why I don't participate in them as much anymore), but it's best to try to stick to facts and policy, and assume good faith. If you keep up the good work that your doing, then I'm sure you'll be a successful admin candidate in 6 months or so. Sbacle 15:26, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm starting a new WikiProject edit

on small engines. I've already given it its own temporary page, Fledgeling WikiProject Small Engines. I'll still need some suport on the proposal, though. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gp75motorsports (talkcontribs) 14:27, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Great! Let me know how I can help. Sbacle 15:13, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mumia FAC edit

Hi Sbacle. If you're really interested in this FAC, you have two options: a) work on the article by yourself and resubmit for an FAC later under your own name, or b) put a note at the top of this FAC nomination that you are willing to take over the nomination, and then work on getting the items fixed. If you do the second option, you may need to contact the others who had left comments and ask them to reevaluate. Good luck! Karanacs 20:32, 18 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the response. I may just drop this for now and work on resubmitting later. I'm not particularly well informed on the topic and was mostly trying to get some of the technical details up to snuff (wikilink full dates, etc.) Sbacle 20:41, 18 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey, man! edit

It's been a long time since I've heard from you! Anyway, I've got a new WikiProject (no, Small Engines is still a fledgeling) and it's called Wikipedia Users' Alliance. The temporary page can be found here. If you get this message, be sure to ansuer it on my talk page. Best, --Gp75motorsports 11:00, 19 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Help! edit

Okay, if ever I need help, it's now. You see, my friends and I got this little union, the Wikipedia Users' Alliance or WUA for short, and there's a debate going on as to its merger with the Counter-Vandalism Unit as to its merger with them. It looks like the guys on the CVU's side are moving closer and closer to tagging us for speedy deletion. So go ahead, check out our page, add your name to the members' list if you want, but I need you to tell them how we're unique. Best and thanks, --Gp75motorsports 02:01, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome. edit

I' m really sorry edit

Hello Sbcle

I' m really sorry for my innocense of your good intention of helping me improve the article "Center Tagumpay ng Katotohanan". I mean no harm in reverting your help.

Please help me for another try and improve the article for its reconsideration.

I do believe for the importance of the article so mankind may know that there' s really truth on God's promises and I know that Wikipedia, (a well known source of at least important information on earth),could be of great help to mankind.

It is not the Center that is being featured but the DIRECT WORKS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT., thus help me how to portray it better.Espiritista (talk)

Sincerely

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
