Martyn Percy edit

Hi, I notice that all your contributions from September until this afternoon related to Martyn Percy. Can you confirm whether you have a conflict of interest relating to Martyn Percy? See the conflict of interest guideline for more information. TSventon (talk) 23:14, 8 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi TSventon , I'm a Christ Church Alumnus. I'm new to Wikipedia and learning slowly and haven't taken the plunge into editing articles as such - my College was one of the first pages I looked at. It appears the current Dean is particularly controversial so it caught my eye. I'll not comment on his page again if that's a problem. Thanks SbOd-5597 (talk) 18:45, 9 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for answering, it is not generally a problem if alumni edit articles or talk pages related to their colleges. I asked because Wikipedia:Single-purpose accounts often do have a conflict of interest, but if you edit some unrelated articles you will no longer be an SPA. I started by reading some articles and trying to improve sections which seemed to be poorly written. TSventon (talk) 20:32, 9 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for that advice, I started with reverting changes because that seemed easy enough to do, and others had done the same thing before so I was sure I wasn't getting anything wrong! I'll take a look at some text improvements though and dip my toe in the water so to speak.SbOd-5597 (talk) 10:59, 10 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi, thank you for reverting recent changes to the Martyn Percy article, however please do not post personal details about other editors unless they have already disclosed them on Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Harassment#Posting of personal information. TSventon (talk) 11:21, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
oh I'm so sorry - should I remove that comment? I was just really shocked to see the name. SbOd-5597 (talk) 11:34, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
I see you've removed the section, thank you. And thank you for your patience with my error. SbOd-5597 (talk) 11:35, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
