edit

Hello, I'm Frost. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Eknath Easwaran, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Frost 16:37, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Eknath Easwaran is not a living person. Satyagraha108 (talk) 16:41, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Right. Corrected. Frost 16:56, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Does that change any of the previous edits that you removed? Satyagraha108 (talk) 17:13, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
After looking at it again, I realized I made a mistake. You did add a source to your edit, and I apologize for that. I've reverted myself. Frost 17:25, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, Frost. I have a question about Presearch's removal of content yesterday. They suggest that because the content is paywalled (It's a Patreon sponsored podcast) that it should not count as a verifiable source for Wikipedia. Satyagraha108 (talk) 19:07, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
According to WP:PAYWALL, reliable sources shouldn't be rejected merely because they're behind a paywall. However, the issue raised by Presearch appears to be more about the suitability of citing that particular source or podcasts in general, than rejecting paid sources. So, it's a very popular podcast in the US. Can I challenge his deletion under any reasons you might know? Satyagraha108 (talk) 19:29, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm not familiar with this topic. You could ask for more opinions at the teahouse. Frost 19:32, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ok, thank you. Satyagraha108 (talk) 19:37, 24 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
