Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. From the edits that you have made, my guess is that you are a member of the Zeta Sigma family. I appreciate that you want to protect those things that are private to Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma. A number of the things (for example the year and location of Zeta Phi Beta's first boule) that you deleted are public and easily accessible from the Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma national web pages or from other public sources such as newspapers. As such they will be restored either by an automated bot (the amount that you deleted was enough to trip the bot's detectors) or by another editor.

I am also a brother of a fraternity, and I have worked to improve the wikipedia page for my fraternity, making it the best reference that it can be (and I would be equally annoyed with information from the ritual for my fraternity being placed onto Wikipedia). The wikipedia pages for Alpha Phi Alpha and Alpha Kappa Alpha have been improved to the point where they have been honored as "Featured Pages" which is the highest mark of respect for a page that Wikipedia can show. I hope that you can help make Wikipedia better source of the public knowledge about Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma. (For example, if you can find information on the dates and locations of the Zeta Phi Beta Boules, the Wikipedia page List of Zeta Phi Beta grand boules could definitely use some help. Please help make the pages about Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma be the best that they can be by expanding them with publicly referenced materials. Note, if something is added and the only reference that is given is a ritual, it will be deleted as not being publicly referenced.

There are ways to challenge information as not being publicly referenced, but doing so by deleting 3/4 of an article is against Wikipedia rules and can lead to banning. I will be happy to help you find ways to improve the article by forcing proper references. You can reply on this page and I'll see it.Naraht (talk) 12:16, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
