Image copyright problem with Image:3dimage.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:3dimage.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

Formation of delta-shaped river basin

Hi Sananda,

I just thought i should point out that there a few problems with your new article on the subject of Formation of delta-shaped river basins

1. You can not mention your name as being the editor of the page on the article itself, as it may lead to Wikipedia:Copyrights issues, and eventually it will be edited by numerous other people which would mean it's not entirely your work anyway. Everyone will know you are the author anyway, as all editing history is displayed by using the 'History' tab at the top of the page.

2. You have written the article almost as a synopsis of a single, specific journal article (i presume it has been published). While journals should be primary sources, articles do not have an abstract or the same structure as a scientific paper... just look at some of the featured articles to get an idea of typical article structure (also see Wikipedia:Manual of Style for a guide to how to set out an article). I also have linked you to a heap of introductory Wikipedia article editing and creation guides and policies at the top of this page so check them out!.

The article as it is may not stand to remain as a separate article, but you may want to add some of this information to the article on delta, drainage basin or any other similar articles. If you can expand the article, thats great also, but remember to reference it!.

Duplicate images uploaded

Images

Hello - you uploaded a number of images with a copyright tag suggesting that you owned the copyright on the pictures, which was incorrect.

• Some were taken from a private website (http://www.rocksandminerals.com), so I have deleted those.
• The ones from the US Government website are OK, but the copyright tags need to be changed to reflect this (which I have done).
• The remaining images give no idea as to where they come from, so I have added a tag which gives 7 days to add the copyright information, or they will be deleted.
