HD Radio

It may be worth noting that in the United States -HD is often used with a number to denote HD Radio subcarriers of a station, but it is not part of the legal call sign. For example, WAMU(FM) has WAMU-HD1 and WAMU-HD2. In common practice, the -HD# may be used instead of -FM even for station with a six-letter call sign, for example, WETA-FM and WETA-HD2. I've seen Canadian and Mexican stations using both HD1 as an addition to their full call and as a replacement for -FM. I'm not sure about in other countries. —Carter (Tcr25) (talk) 19:37, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
