Overall, the article is well-written and remains objective and informative. I appreciate that you seamlessly mixed in your own informational writing along with quotes from the materials/people you are talking about. The images of the manifesto and Volume Two of the periodical add interest and depth to the article as well. The table of contents was a great addition that provides some extra organization and just makes the page look more put together in general. I like that the citations for the various volumes of the periodical are placed right after each volume edition, rather than in the text, because I think that makes the text look cleaner. Something that seems a little off to me is the last line under “Volume Two,” and I recommend changing the line to say something like, “The journal also consists of short stories. One short story, written by James Corrothers, is titled “Lincoln.”” And then if you can find info about Lincoln, that would be interesting to add. I also think it may be beneficial to link people’s respective Wiki pages to their names as they appear on your article (mainly in the Volume Two section) so that people can click on them and be directed to their page. I am interested to see what else you will find on the other volumes and the Atlanta Race Riot. Finally, and this is just personal preference, but I would suggest capitalizing Black and White in the “History” section when referring to people’s races. Hi Samantha, I found your page to be extremely easy to follow, and when writing about a journal rather than a person I think that can be difficult, so great job on the cohesion! I enjoyed the brief introduction at the top of your page and I felt the "History" section provided quality context on the "Voice of the Negro." I see on the page there is not information under Volume 1, Volume 3, and Volume 4, but I feel that once you include information under that section it will be extremely effective. I also liked how you included the "Impact and Aftermath" section. Ultimately, I think the structure of your page is very clear for other users to follow and once completed will be a reliable Wikipedia page. Madelynnmarshall (talk) 01:00, 24 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
