Nice job, but userpage needs work

edit

Nice job on tutorials, but it looks like you only copied and filled in part of the template attached to Assignment 1. Please read the instructions carefully and complete your user page for full credit. J.R. Council (talk) 21:43, 10 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Marley.virnig you should comment so we can see. This is confusing.

What do you guys think of this article possibly? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Abandonment_(emotional) SamanthaSj (talk) 17:21, 17 September 2018 (UTC) SamiReply

Or maybe this one? This is about the history of emotions and clearly needs improvement. We could relate it to this class since we could show the development of it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_emotions SamanthaSj (talk) 17:23, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

When I read through them I can tell that the abandonment one could use more work since there is not much information, but the emotion one seems like it relates more to what we could show development in... Thoughts? SamanthaSj (talk) 17:26, 17 September 2018 (UTC) Ellen.Wall480 (talk) 17:30, 17 September 2018 (UTC) I like the emotional one too! It looks like it could use the most editing and it is an interesting topic! Ellen.Wall480 (talk) 17:30, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

I think we should go with the emotion one! It needs improvement so this will give us more to work with! Marley.virnig (talk) 17:28, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Marley let me know if you can see a notification for my edit. SamanthaSj (talk) 17:33, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Did you guys get this? Ellen.Wall480 (talk) 17:33, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yep, I am seeing everything. So on the emotions wiki page I noticed there is not much on the talk page, so I don't think many edits have been made. This could be beneficial to us being able to find a lot of information to add and adjust. SamanthaSj (talk) 17:37, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Okay so after talking through it, are you guys okay with hopefully the abandonment one. There are a lot of discussions and tasks to do, so I believe that it would be good to see what we could improve without feeling too overwhelmed. I think that this would be a good topic to help improve. SamanthaSj (talk) 17:43, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

We could do that one, or would we want to look at nature vs. nurture since that correlates with our assigned chapter a little more?Marley.virnig (talk) 17:45, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nature_versus_nurture here is another interesting topic too. Ellen.Wall480 (talk) 17:47, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Francis Galton was a very influential man in our chapter. We have pretty much narrowed down what we are doing, but just incase we need another one. The page on Galton is very well done. only a few minor grammer issues that I noticed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Galton Ellen.Wall480 (talk) 17:49, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nature_versus_nurture - this article is very lengthy compared to the ones we have looked at. We could work on making it more consise and editing the information that is there by using information from our books? Thoughts? The abandonment one is good too, I just think this might be easier given all the information we can use from the book and the article itself. it has a lot of information that the chapter discusses in some of the headlines! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marley.virnig (talkcontribs) 17:50, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

I really like that topic and it is very relevant to the book as well. We will hope nobody else has that article chosen!! We can make some great contributions to the page. SamanthaSj (talk) 21:05, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Did we decide on an article? Ellen.Wall480 (talk) 14:48, 1 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Abandonment_(emotional) I am thinking this one since the other ones we wanted to use were too developed. This one doesn't pertain as much to the chapter we have, but it is an intriguing topic. Let me know what you think and then we can dig in with this assignment a bit more besides just in our texting. It is sure hard to post on here all the time when phones are so accessible for texting!! Anyways, take a look and hopefully it will work. SamanthaSj (talk) 02:35, 2 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Never mind, I will edit on the emotion article. I didn't see that Ellen commented in the wrong column about sticking with the emotion one! I'm glad I found that edit because I had just finished going through the abandonment one! SamanthaSj (talk) 01:17, 3 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

PLEASE NOTE: I have copied your work for Assignment 4 to Sami's Sandbox. I have also changed the links from the Sandbox icon on her user page and the "point person" in the Bb menu to go to the sandbox. J.R. Council (talk) 05:41, 12 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Let stick with the emotion article. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_emotions We can make a lot of additions to it form our own research. Thoughts?? Ellen.Wall480 (talk) 15:50, 27 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
