Speedy deletion nomination of Niklas Lilja

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Niklas Lilja requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Production car speed record

edit

Thank you for contributing to the Production car speed record. However, these are contentious issues that are currently being discussed at Talk:Production car speed record#Suggested updated production car and test specification definition/list rules. In order to avoid an WP:EDITWAR, please read WP:BRD, then the last few sections of the talk page. Then please feel free to contribute to the discussion instead of the edit war. Thank you.  Stepho  talk

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Production car speed record, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. As I explained in my edit summary and on the talk page, the company's post is not an acceptable source. There are now independent sources available on the talk page, but this car should not be added until there is consensus on the talk page that it meets the requirements as a production car. For now it is contested material and should remain out until a consensus is reached. Meters (talk) 00:20, 23 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Production car speed record.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. There is no consensus as yet to include this. Wait until the talk page discussion is concluded. And again, if the decision is to include it it will require an independent reliable source, not the company's publicity page. Meters (talk) 19:53, 26 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Production car speed record ‎ . Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Meters (talk) 18:38, 27 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Production car speed record. Final warning about this. Stop edit warring to insert this. Wait until the the talk page reaches a consensus that this car meets the inclusion criteria. If and when it does the car can be added. Meters (talk) 18:40, 13 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Coffee // have a ☕️ // beans // 15:02, 18 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

January 2018

edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Production car speed record. I've undone both of your changes to this article. We don't include your opinions of what's happening on the talk page in the article, and you don't get to arbitrarily vchange the number of vehicles of a particular model produced when the talk page is already dealing with the issue. There is no concensus that we should count all of the vehicles that could be upgraded as if they had been originally produced with that option. This has been extensively discussed on the talk page. Ways to improve Niklas Lilja

edit

Hi, I'm Jcc. Sagenode, thanks for creating Niklas Lilja!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. We need long-term evidence of his achievements- WP:NOTNEWS. Maybe add a sentence or two about his racing achievements. Notability is not automatically transferred from his record attempt.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
