Deletion discussion about Brandon Jenkins (singer/songwriter) edit

Hello, Sacha Kay,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Brandon Jenkins (singer/songwriter) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brandon Jenkins (singer/songwriter) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Brandon Jenkins (singer/songwriter) edit

Hello, Sacha Kay, I got your messages. I am on the road working this week and don't have time to give this much thought or time. In general, though, if you can find independent, third party coverage of this subject in significant quantity it may have a hope of being saved. So far, unfortunately, what has been cited is probably not enough to qualify for an encyclopedic entry. Don't get discouraged if the article gets deleted. If the subject is indeed notable then you can spend more time finding the necessary sources that will make this page acceptable by redoing it before resubmitting. Best of luck. Turn your User Name blue :-) edit

Hi Sacha Kay. Recommend that you write a one sentence intro on yourself on your User Name page. It will reduce the scrutiny on your edits and creates good will.... Let me know if you have any questions. -- Erika aka BrillLyle (talk) 18:50, 29 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much for the tip, Erika BrillLyle. :)

WP:AfD edit

Very few AfD participants are monsters - and I hope I'm not one of those. Engaging in an AfD discussion is, or should be, hard work: I treat it as seriously as writing a new article. AfD decisions don't go by majority vote, they go by reasons. It isn't always obvious to newbies what is WP:RS and what is not (points finger at self). Brandon Jenkins (musician) got preserved (IMO rightly) because an editor or two put in the work needed to save it. If you want to thank any of them, I suggest awarding them Template:The Rescue Barnstar. Happy editing! Narky Blert (talk) 03:18, 3 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Guess I was just lucky then, to have stumbled upon the AfD monsters my very first editing effort. :D Thank you very much for your message. And thanks for the "The Rescue Barnstars". I've awarded them right away!!! I'm sorry, but I think I've missed your argue for result on the article. Thanks a lot!!! It's much appreciated. I'll be studying the stuff that my Wiki-hero (Erika, who did most of the work) has shared with me and will be back. For there are so much more GREAT independent REAL artists who don't have a wiki-page. There's a lot of work to be done. But next time, I'll be prepared for the "fight". :D Again: thanks!
