Speedy deletion nomination of List of Library Associations specific to American states

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of Library Associations specific to American states requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dipankan001 (talk) 15:29, 2 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:City of Columbia Heights Public Library 2011.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:City of Columbia Heights Public Library 2011.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:06, 7 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Concerns about User:SRHMGSLP/sandbox

edit

Hello, SRHMGSLP. I have some concerns about the page User:SRHMGSLP/sandbox. Firstly, the page is written in terms which seem more like promotion of the library than like objective reporting. Secondly, substantial amounts of the content of the page appear to be copied from other sources, almost certainly infringing copyright. Either of these would be sufficient grounds for speedy deletion of the page, but I thought it more constructive to start by letting you know of my concerns. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:26, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks James for the notification before I go live! Though the information is not directly copied from other sources, I will go through it to try and put more of it into my own words, and will look at some of the other library pages to see if I can get more ideas on how to make it more objective. The first two statements are copied because they are official statements. Do you have any recommendations? It is an interesting library with an 80 year old history, and I think the community would find this information interesting, so I don't want any speedy deletion.SRHMGSLP (talk) 19:08, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
