  Arbitration

  • The arbitration case request Geschichte has been automatically closed after a 3 month suspension of the case.

Question from Shariba on Suzanne Gillis (14:40, 5 August 2022)

Hello mentor! I am wondering why the "Suzanne Gillis" Wikipedia page is not available in a Google search. What did I forget to do that has prevented the Google bots from indexing this page? It has been close to 6 months since the page has been available on Wikipedia... Any help you can provide will be appreciated. Thank you! Shari --Shariba (talk) 14:40, 5 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi Shariba, you might want to read search engine optimization, Wikipedia:Search engine optimization and possibly voy:Wikivoyage:Search engine optimization where you'll get much better answers (I do know a fair bit about SEO but I'm not the best at explaining it). Let me know if you need any more help. Cheers, SHB2000 (talk) 08:32, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
Hello SHB2000 - Thank you for the links, but I'm not sure they helped. They were mostly info about SEO that I knew about or Wikivoyage (I have no idea what that is. How is it connected to Wikipedia?) My concern is that the Wikipedia article (Suzanne Gillis) is not in Google results, in spite of it being included in Wikipedia for months now. It seems like there would be something I could do on the Wikipedia site that would open the article up to Google. I do website design and I know about registering with Google, etc. Is there something Wikipedia offers that I've missed? Thank you so much for any additional help. A Wikipedia article won't suddenly make it onto Google – that's where SEO comes in. I'm not an expert on this, but try follow the tips mentioned in those project pages. As for why I linked the Wikivoyage page, it's one of Wikipedia's sister projects so it is related. --SHB2000 (talk) 22:11, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
