Talk page of War of 1812

I suspect that we have all been well and truly trolled by CJK. This user has a history of being banned for edit warring and I suspect that he/she has taken up argument on the Talk page as an alternative source of amusement. Perhaps we should adopt a Don Not Feed the Troll policy and refuse to argue with him any more?Dabbler (talk) 21:27, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

I fully support that. Thanks for notifying me!Rwenonah (talk) 21:35, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Finally checked his Talk page and saw the same. Ian Furst (talk) 23:15, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

What worries me is that he's added an anachronous section which has no visible relation to the article's topic.Rwenonah (talk) 00:48, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Did he add the section on division of NA in 1783? My worry, is that he's systematically removing any notion that Canadians, between 1759 and 1931 had any nationalistic sentiment. It's tough to keep up with the onslaught of minor edits he's making. In one, he changes "rebel" to "patriot" (OK) but in the same edit obliterates your reference to Canadians resisting being pulled into the US. The overall changes are against the consensus of everyone else involved, but I don't think it qualifies as an edit war.Ian Furst (talk) 12:54, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
Yes that was CJK's addition and I added the Importance template to the top to flag it, partly so he can't later claim that it has been accepted. Dabbler (talk) 15:19, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Indonesia

That's okay, I'm sorry too, I should be more patient and less-emotional in this matter. I hope you understand the seemingly paradoxical nature of Indonesia. For most of the times and in most places we're quite peaceful and harmonious, yet I do not deny that there are some instances and incidents of violence and clashes. Cheers....Gunkarta (talk) 19:10, 23 December 2013 (UTC)

Most unimpressive article ?

You state that List of all war outbreaks during World War II as a supplement to the main article World War II is "unimpressive", and states that Declarations of War during World War II already exists. But the latter isn't connected from the main article World War II, so how should I possibly could have known about it ? Fisrt my contibute was never intended to be "impressive", but only a brief chronological list of dates reguarding outbreaks of war during the entire Second World War. After having a look at the the article You suggest instead, wich possibly may be technical impressive, I do though find its contence below acceptable Wikipedia standard. Have You really had a good look at it ? Since no main source is used as base, lots of imperative dates are absent. For a while I wondered if it could be connected from the main subject (article World War Two) , but there simply are so many serious errors that I strongly doubt if that's possible. Please have a look at the talk page, and You will see what I mean. Boeing720 (talk) 17:44, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Help request - Proposed deletion of List of all war outbreaks during World War II

Hi there. There's a user on my talk page that's after clarification on why List of all war outbreaks during World War II was proposed for deletion and on the "patchiness" of Declarations of War during World War II. I've advised him best I can but thought you'd be able to do a better job as I don't really understand the point he's trying to make (which may or may not be because there isn't one.) All I see is two similar looking articles nominated for deletion. Just thought I'd let you know. Thanks. N4 (talk) 19:48, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Thank You for correct the spelling of List of all war outbreaks during World War II. I had corrected the "e"-error elsewhere, but am uncertain of how to deal with article names. It was indeed a very unfortunate misspelling. I really should have looked it up in some dictionary at time of creation. This was much appriciated and thanks again Boeing720 (talk) 13:43, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
When I first created the list, I was not aware of the Declarations of War during World War II article, since that one is not linked from the main World War II article. Atleast not from the location where all other WWII-lists are found. I made an effort of improving Declarations of War during World War II (years 1939 and 1940) but my edits soon became reverted. So I think Declarations of War during World War II isn't up to common standard reguarding sources, even if it uses some impressive illustrations. Anyway it only covers certain events, and avoid others. And the allegation that List of all war outbreaks during World War II should be covered by the previous article, I strongly must oppose to. User N4 is possible very helpful, but I fail to see his help in this case was needed. Atleast not to the extent that he needed to put an introduction box at my talk page. I also feel it a bit odd that he got so very involved (possibly replacing user:Factor01 ??), especially since he claims to not know much facts in the matter. Thanks again Boeing720 (talk) 14:09, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

WWII revert

Ok, I asked if anyone other than Nick-D (who is clearly misinformed) opposed the change. It's a bit though to just undue an edit, if I have a source that backs up the statement, and there is a need for a clarification in this case answering basic question of (who, what, where, and why). I'm not sure what you did is correct! If you feel this strongly about it please post your reasoning on the Talk Page. What happened is that an uninformed editor took out a text from an image caption, based on erroneous understanding of the subject matter, so I provided a source for the statement and re-added the caption that was in question, and now you demand that I seek a consensus, when in reality what was needed was a verifiable reference for the statement. --Factor01 (talk) 18:53, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

Quasi War

Hello, I'd like to collaborate with you on changing the result of the Quasi War. The reference to the result of the war doesn't come with a clickable link, so I feel it should be updated with one that does. As far as the result itself, it's very clear France and Spain lost the conflict, both militarily and during negotiations, which were brief. French and Spanish forces lost every battle, and France ceased attacks on American shipping by war's end in accordance to the Convention of 1800. I feel the previous edit provided a clear and appropriate result and reference, how do you feel about this? UnbiasedVictory (talk) 18:02, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
