Articles for deletion nomination of Addiction Worldwide

edit

I have nominated Addiction Worldwide, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Addiction Worldwide. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Simple answer

edit

We are trying to publish a wiki page for our company but seem to be struggling with getting it accepted, we are very new to Wikipedia! Are you able to offer some suggestions as to what we are doing wrong? Roseleigh (talk · contribs) [via e-mail]

  • Yes, it is very simple: you are trying to publish a wiki page for your company. That is what is wrong. Please read {{uw-coi}}. Just wait. When your company becomes notable, you may be sure that someone with no COI will write about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 03:47, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I do work for Addiction Worldwide and I am trying to create a page that meets the Wikipedia requirements. I have followed the advice you directed me to on the uw-coi pages and I hope that this will help. Thanks again for the advice. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roseleigh (talkcontribs)

I have looked at other London ad agencies such as BBH and 23rd. Were both of these created by people not in the agency? -- Roseleigh (talk · contribs) [via e-mail]

  • Is it too difficult for you too provide the proper titles for the two articles you reference? Writing by someone with a COI is "strongly discouraged". But in the case of your company, the AfD discussion concluded that the company is not notable. That means that nobody, with or without COI, should be writing about it. If you wish to persist, follow this advice and find someone to sponsor the article through deletion review. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:17, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
