Hi Roope. I'll be happy to look into the Smiley Smile case for you. I will look at the history of the article, and at the histories of the other editors concerned. I'll also be speaking to them to get their views. I'll also be taking a look at your own history. Bear in mind that I will be impartial and may find in favour of the other editors. However, the aim of the procedure is to ensure you feel supported, and that whatever decision I come to, that you are content with that decision, and you understand why it was made. Any questions or concerns, please get in touch. Regards. SilkTork 09:31, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've just been through your edits. You have created several new music articles, and you have made several minor though significant edits to various other music related articles. Your editing appears sound, and as such you are a valued contributor to Wikipedia. Whatever happens with this case, I do hope you will continue editing on Wiki. Editorial disputes are, unfortunately, quite common - and sometimes people get so upset they leave Wiki never to return. If you ever feel stressed, have a nice cup of tea, and come and talk to me. I'm not long haired any more, but I was certainly a hippy. This is me at Weeley Festival in 1971. I'm the one standing up on the left. SilkTork 09:55, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Smiley Smile edit

Hi Roope. I have spoken to BGC. He has made some recent edits to the Smiley Smile article which have toned down the language. A phrase you weren't happy with has remained - "infamous" - however, I feel that the word is appropriate as the album does have a "bad reputation", which is the definition of infamous. There does appear to me to be some balance to the article as it now stands. I am happy with it, though I do feel it could do with some reference sources to support and explain some of the claims. I have asked BGC to find some sources. Are you satisfied with the current edit, or do you feel more could be done? Regards. SilkTork 17:30, 16 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi again. If you're not content with the current situation, please let me know on my talk page. If you are content then please go to Wikipedia:AMA Requests for Assistance/Requests/January 2007/Roope and complete the Followup section. Cheers! SilkTork 08:31, 18 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Flying Dutchman discography edit

Hi. Sorry to cause you extra trouble. I was trying to undo the activities of User:MrsLlorca and got "Höllander" from the intro to the Dutchman article without realising that (s)he had altered that, too (and without thinking or checking whether it was correct - I don't know much German - but I didn't even check the Wagner operas infobox which I'd inserted myself. Stupid, stupid stupid!). I've now reverted that, so all is well.

I was impressed with the discography - it seems to me that more operas ought to have a separate discography. For example, the lengthy Recordings section in the Der Ring des Nibelungen article looks ripe for the treatment. Any interest in doing that? Other Wagner operas? Non-Wagner operas?

The only thing lacking is a column for the record label, which would distinguish, for example the two 1968 Klemperer recordings. OK, labels change, some live performances are on more than one label, some recordings are reissued on different labels etc., but I still think it's worth doing. Best wishes. --GuillaumeTell 18:42, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

How did I miss the Pelléas discography? I swear I clicked the category for the Dutchman one and saw that there wasn't much there. Maybe I blanked the Pelléas entry because I'm allergic to this opera (but I've nevertheless now destubbed the opera's entry because there's no synopsis).
Anything you can do to improve the operatic content of Wikipedia would be appreciated. Why not sign up on the Opera Project page? --GuillaumeTell 22:11, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Tales of Hoffmann discography? edit

Greetings again from another member of the Opera Project. Our featured composer of the month for April is Jacques Offenbach. I don't know whether you might be interested in contributing a discography for The Tales of Hoffmann? - Kleinzach 23:33, 18 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
