editPlease do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to List of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit characters. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. AussieLegend (talk) 20:16, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Cast in infoboxes
editPlease refrain from removing historical cast from the infoboxes for TV series. TV series articles are about the totality of the series, not just the current season, and as such, the infobox includes all the cast (see the article for ER!) You should also review WP:CIVIL and avoid calling names or other uncivil behavior when you edit. Drmargi (talk) 17:20, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oh please. Are you the director of wikipedia now? It dosen't make any sense to have cast members that departed years ago in the cast gathering. Well, I will keep reverting your edits.
- I just came here to tell you the same thing. These articles cover the entire history of the series, not just the present. See WP:RECENTISM. And think of it this way: what if the article was one on a cancelled series? Then there is no "current" cast to limit it to. Likewise, we don't limit series currently in production to the most recent cast members.
- Anyway, your edits are also full of errors even by your claimed reasoning; the casts in infoboxes are listed in order they appear, so older cast is listed first.
- Lastly, reverting with dismissive comments such as yours isn't going to fly. Wikipedia works on consensus, and you ain't go none. oknazevad (talk) 17:28, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:MOSTV#Cast_information is the relevant reading here. GRAPPLE X 17:32, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
Dear sir, Please DO NOT remove former cast members from info boxes. Wikipedia does NOT work like that. Please see Wikipedia:MOSTV#Cast_information. This is an established Wikipedia policy. Continuing to edit articles like you've done for CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS (TV series) will potentially get you blocked as it engages you in an edit war, esepcially against an established Wikipedia Policy. If you have an issue with this policy, perhaps you can bring up your concerns on the Talk page of the policy in question. Thanks! JguyTalkDone 13:20, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Port Authority merger
editFYI, I've reverted your merger of the Pittsburgh light rail-related articles. That's a huge change to make and there really needs to be a discussion first. Best, Mackensen (talk) 23:20, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- Personally I find it harder to follow, and the convention on Wikipedia is for individual articles on types of service and individual lines. I would ask you to revert yourself an open a merge discussion (see WP:MERGE) for details. Mackensen (talk) 00:30, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
How is it harder to understand? Everything is straight forward and on one page.
I have reverted your merge. See the article's talk page. Thank you. —Bill Price (nyb) 00:54, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Addendum: I now see that you have unilaterally merged several light rail articles. This is both unwarranted and disruptive. I see that you are an inexperienced editor. What you must understand is that major changes like these must be discussed first. You are single-handedly trying to overturn years of precedent and consensus, and this strong and immediate backlash should demonstrate to you that trying to make mass changes without building consensus is futile. If you continue to make these changes without consensus, we will continue to revert. —Bill Price (nyb) 01:01, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

editHello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. —Bill Price (nyb) 01:03, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
