Gothic rock edit

The rules of wikipedia are clear : no wp:original research. Wikipedia is not a place to express personal opinions / points of view. This song was described as pop by one very wp:reliable source. If you don't have a source (from a famous music paper) saying what you support, it is original research. Other very important point, you always have to wp:STICKTOSOURCE when editing. Woovee (talk) 19:10, 13 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

A song description has not anything to do with OR. Guitar techniques, sound effects... it's all music theory and practice. Do you think it's OR if you call a cube "angular"? No. Because it is angular. Or do you need a source for that? And don't tell me what Wikipedia is. I'm working with Wikipedia since 2003... --RivetHeadCulture (talk) 11:52, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

March 2018 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Cranes (band), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Robvanvee 15:06, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Not sure what you want from me. There was not a single source. Sandbox? You must be kidding... --RivetHeadCulture (talk) 16:31, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Ilovetopaint (talk) 23:37, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Warning edit

I was considering a block, looking at the WP:AN3 listing, but it seemed a bit pointless blocking someone who is clearly knowledgable about the subject, even if they don't express it in the correct way for a collaborative encyclopedia. So, to be clear, any comment like this or this will immediately end in a lengthy block, whilst any further spurious claims of vandalism, and any further edit warring will result in a shorter one. And yes, this applies to anyone editing the article, as I'll point out at the AN3 report. Black Kite (talk) 00:25, 18 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • And four minutes later, you accuse the other editor of vandalising again [1]. I'll assume that you hadn't read my warning at this point, but this will be the very last warning on this subject. Black Kite (talk) 00:31, 18 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Please, what??? What are you talking about? User:Donnachadelong is not a vandal. I never called him a vandal. Show me the word in my comment.
And what about User:Ilovetopaint? He removes permanently sourced content. We discussed this already in April @ Administrators' noticeboard/Incident. And he starts again with the same nonsense. --RivetHeadCulture (talk) 00:38, 18 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
"User:Ilovetopaint doesn't stop vandalizing the article." Fairly straightforward. Just stop it, now. I'll be keeping an eye on all these articles going forward, and btw I'm familiar with darkwave etc. (I grew up in the goth subculture in the 80s) and I speak French and German. Black Kite (talk) 00:41, 18 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Then go and tell him what's written in those books. I'm not his translation slave. --RivetHeadCulture (talk) 00:42, 18 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
I will have a look at those sources tomorrow (it's nearly 2am here), and if they match what's in the article then they can stay. You simply need to stop being abusive to other editors, and discuss anything contentious on the talk page. Not difficult. Black Kite (talk) 00:50, 18 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
I'm tired of discussing the same stuff over and over again. He doesn't accept foreign sources. It's his personal problem, not a source problem. Good night. --RivetHeadCulture (talk) 01:12, 18 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
