Women's basketball

Hello. I have created this page this morning. Could you please review it and make appropriate edit to meet any standards that I may have overlooked?
-Ben S. Henderson (talk) 15:44, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Looks good! Thanks for your work. I made a few formatting changes. ~ Richmond96 TC 16:57, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
The only thing which I cannot troubleshoot is how to get the page to appear in the search suggestions since I named the name with a "–" instead of a "-", and redirecting to a "–." You have to type in the entire page name in order for the search tool to redirect you to the page. Do you know of any way to fix this?
-Ben S. Henderson (talk) 00:03, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
Not sure why that is happening. My best guess is that it takes a while for Wikipedia to index all of the new articles for inclusion in the search engine. I'd give it a few days. ~ Richmond96 TC 02:21, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
I'll keep an eye on it. You have a Merry Christmas!

Gators are ranked No. 2, eh?

R96, just saw your rankings updates to the season article. Let's hope they can hold onto the new rankings for a couple of weeks. Last time they were ranked this high, they promptly did a header off the high dive. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 00:23, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

Definitely hoping they can keep it up. If they keep winning, I would expect them to overtake Indiana for No. 1. Tough schedule coming up for the Hoosiers. More importantly though I'm hoping they can lock up a 1 seed in the tourney! I'm looking forward to baseball season, too. Finally get to go to the FSU game here in Jacksonville. Go Gators. ~ Richmond96 TC 00:36, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
Sorry to be the mean one but let me ask a question: Do you think Florida would be No. 2 if they played in the Big Ten? AutomaticStrikeout (TC) 00:40, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
Probably not, depending on their schedule. The Big Ten has five ranked teams; the SEC just two. Home court advantage is pretty huge in the Big Ten compared to the SEC. The two largest crowds the Gators have played against this year were both losses. They also haven't won a single close game all season. I still think they can go very far on a neutral court in the tournament if they are healthy. ~ Richmond96 TC 00:48, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
Home court advantage is huge in the Big Ten. Both of Michigan's losses were on the road and the home crowd was clearly involved. AutomaticStrikeout (TC) 00:52, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

RfA: thank you for your support

R96, thank you for your kind words and support during my RfA. It means a bunch coming from another Gator loyalist. Regards, Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 01:26, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Don't mention it. I hope you will get another chance sometime. Keep up the great work! ~ Richmond96 TC 01:46, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Tourney Ranks

Greetings, good sir!
Do tourney ranks go next to "|rank", resulting in #(9) or should one put "LSU (9)"? 2012-13 Florida Gators men's basketball team
Ben S. Henderson (talk) 20:59, 14 March 2013 (UTC)

Should be "vs. (9) LSU", so leave the opprank field empty. Thanks ~ Richmond96 TC 22:07, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. Since UF is ranked though, do they say #13 (1)? Ben S. Henderson (talk) 23:18, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
Yep. Ranking followed by seed. ~ Richmond96 TC 00:31, 15 March 2013 (UTC)

Like in football articles, should I put in the conference championship results in the infobox, or here is it just used for the NCAA tournament? Ben S. Henderson (talk) 00:30, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

My interpretation is that we should only include championships and NCAA tournament appearances in the infoboxes. Unlike football, every team in the league participates in the conference championship, so only include it if they win. P. S. You may want to drop in at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College Basketball#NCAA seeding in team infoboxes. ~ Richmond96 TC 00:50, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

American football uniforms

Hello, thanks for your comment, I feel really pleased that my uniforms have had a well reception among the community. Of course I'd love to make the new Jaguars uniforms !! I'll be working on them but I have some question first: As you know, the Jaguars logo is a non-free image so the uniforms should be uploaded in a smaller size according to the NFCC.

I was thinking about this, concluding that one option would be to make two versions of the uniforms: one for the infobox with the logos on helmets and chest (in a reduced size) and other version without the copyrighted logo but bigger in size, which would allow to display more details of the uniforms. This second version would be included as a thumbnail on the article's body.

Do you agree ... ? I'll be awaiting for your feedback, your comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks again, - Fma12 (talk) 13:23, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

Good to hear you will be making these! I'm not very familiar with image restrictions and such, but my concern with your proposal is that it could be confusing to some viewers if they see a jersey image with no logos on it. That is just my opinion. I think the image detail shown in your other uniform images would be good enough. ~ Richmond96 TC 20:04, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
Thank you again !! I'm currently working on the 2013 spring game Oregon Ducks uniforms so once I have finished with them, I'll immediately take over on the Jacksonville Jaguars'. I also think there would not be restrictions for the use of the logo on the uniforms due to the emblem will be displayed at a very small size (and low resolution as well). I will upload the image to Commons releasing it to the PD. Keep in touch! And thanks again for the support. Fma12 (talk) 16:29, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

I have a few photos from the Jaguars draft party that may help you see some of the uniform's details.

Let me know if there is anything else that you may need. ~ Richmond96 TC 00:29, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

I've just updated the uniforms at the Jaguars article. The photos you gave were incredibly helpful for my work so I didn't have enough graphic information to render the uniforms. Thanks for your collaboration, I hope you and all the NFL fans like the kits. I put all of my best efforts to get a well done job. And without your help it wouldn't have be possible.
If there is something to correct, please don't hesitate to contact me. :) - Fma12 (talk) 14:19, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
Awesome job! They look great. There are only a few things I noticed.
  • Are the teal and gold in the correct shade? (Gold #d3a205 and Teal #007198). They just looked a tad "off" to me.
  • Inside the shield patch, the Jaguar head should be reversed, so it is facing the player's heart. I can send you the image if you would like.
  • Is it possible to show the correct outlining of the numbers? The white numbers are outlined in teal on the inside and gold on the outside. Black numbers are white inside, gold outside. Teal numbers are black inside, gold outside. (See the images linked to above)
  • A very minor detail, but there probably should not be a teal outlining on the black pants. Could be confused with a stripe.
Thanks again. ~ Richmond96 TC 23:06, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
Hi Richmond, thanks for your kind words about my work !!! I tried to do the best renditions of the uniforms and I'm proud about the results, considering that I have very few experience designing american football uniforms.

Following, my comments about your corrections:

* The photos were not fully clear about the colors tones and saturation so I had to use my experience as designer to infer what colors would be the most appropriate (specifically in the case of teal, the most problematic). Now that you gave the hex # things will come easier to me so I have the exact reference to apply to the graphics. Nevertheless, the different calibrations of each monitor may cause slight tones variations but I'll follow strictly the hexadecimal code (#007198).
* Shield patch: easy to fix, no problem.
* Outlining of numbers: there is a little complex issue here. I noticed that the numbers have a double outline colors, but I couldn't find any typography which fulfilled that requirement. Therefore I had to use other typo with single outline. If you know about the exact typography assigned to the Jaguars (or some website where this can be downloaded) please tell me.
Pants: I'll let them with no stripes, just the base color, if you agree.
Thank you again - Fma12 (talk) 23:17, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
I believe the outlining can be added in using an image editor. If you are unable to do it, I can pull the image and add them on my own, with your permission of course. You are correct on the pants. Just the base color. ~ Richmond96 TC 01:14, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

Denard Robinson

Doesn't an OW like robinson plays involves quarterback, thx MattFlynnForPresident (talk) 20:52, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

He is used in wildcat packages at QB and is the team's "emergency QB", like many other players in the NFL, neither or which make him a quarterback. ~ Richmond96 TC 00:48, 8 September 2013 (UTC)
