Maintenance templates
edit- Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed maintenance notices from Timi Zhuo, even though required changes haven't been made. If you are uncertain whether the page requires further work, or if you disagree with the notice, please discuss these issues on the page's talk page before removing the notice from the page. These notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of a page. Thank you. -- intgr 03:17, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Please do not remove maintenance notices from articles on Wikipedia, as you did to Tim Zhuo. It may be considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- intgr 03:19, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
@Intgr: I might accidentally removed something without knowing it. Where is the "Maintenance Notices"? Is it okay now? How can I put it back? The page you mentioned Tim Zhuo does not exist. I did work on Timi Zhuo page though. Thanks.--Richard18857 (talk) 11:24, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
@Intgr: Never mind, it seems outdated message from March 21, 2007. I believe the issue was corrected. Thanks.--Richard18857 (talk) 22:40, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
Signing
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. – Fayenatic London 05:34, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, can you not see these buttons when you are editing? There is a signature button after the buttons for "bold" and "italic" immediately above where you edit. There is also a ~~~~ in the "insert" panel below the edit pane. – Fayenatic London 08:18, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
- Aha, you have got it, well done! Your signature is fine as it is, but if you want to then you can edit it from the Preferences link at the top of every Wikipedia page. – Fayenatic London 12:53, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
